When I stop by the shop later I will buy bananas, most probably because you've reminded me.

Very good. I agree with all your points, most definitely on the handle and pic. They're not the best.

You may have misinterpreted it, but I was thanking you for the banana reminder. Thanks again!

  5. Yes that makes more sense, So we will be changing risk to 10 dollars per trade?

  6. I have now have a seperate bank account ready for investing. 3200 is the max I can do for IB. I will start once I feel comfortable and learn how to place option orders. Is there an app for option simulator trading?

Again, all you are proposing is to cut gains arbitrarily, but those stops are meaningless in options. They will be treated "not held" and you'll be sitting there lifting 0.80 offers and watch your 0.10 risk take a shit when the calls go 65x72 mkt. So now you're at 0.68 mid and no takers. The microstructure will not support an 8% stop when they are not held and the NBBO is 5% wide, at minimum.

So 0.10 based upon your 0.80 fill when the decay is 0.15 a day?

To chart the option is the ultimate naivete. The fact that anyone is taking this journal seriously (josh) in surreal.

  8. Hey man I appreciate what you are trying to do, but don't bash on somebody else's trading strategy that WORKS for them. He thinks outside the box and that's what works for him. Whether or not it will work for me is a different story but I'm fine with loosing a small amount of my capital to at least give it a try. Now no more talking bad about smith. However im more than open to here what you have to say and what you think I should do besides telling me to stop listening to him. But if you have advise on a trading strategy then please share, I'd love to hear it. In a side note I did quite well on my simulator. Made 7 trades and all were profitable.

He's charting calls for timing purposes... his working "outside the box" is euphemism for deficient. "Looking at it go up and down" is compelling commentary, for sure, so I understand why you would assume this guy is successful.

I had nothing to say but to give you a warning on what to look for in this crap. It's a cautionary tale, nothing more. I have no interest in teaching you anything.

  10. Well I appreciate the "watch out" but the reason I'm giving him a chance is because he's giving me a chance. No one else has offered to help me out.
