i got the same thing (basically) here's another one: you are in a boat in a perfectly circular lake. there is a wolf on the edge of the lake. the wolf can run 3x as fast as you can row. the wolf never gets tired, and will always move to the closest point to you as fast as he can. there is a gun sitting on shore just at the edge of the lake. can you get to the gun before the wolf gets to you? if so, how.
