In my own life, I have discovered we are on Earth relatively short time as my beliefs there is returning to "home" if I live a decent life. "Decent Life" has multitude of ways and one is referring to honor doing what a relative wanted me to continue after their life and I would do a disservice to them if I didn't. "He" is still there and with you always, he is watching when you will honor him by trading what he taught you, win or lose, he is there to still discuss trading, am sure you can still hear his voice. Good luck to you.
That's not good enough. You also need to printout charts and circles your rules/setups that you often see it working over and over again. Then, compare your real-time charts with your setups to see if you see a similar pattern, which definitely gives you more confidence to make your decision to trade.
If you can't live without him, get a big picture of him and put it in his chair. When you see a potential trade ask him what you should do and do what he tells you. This is disgusting and you are a nasty nasty personage. Go back to the ghetto from whence you came, loser.
Hey gents and gals, I need some help to see if anybody has experienced the same issue I am going through. For almost the past decade I had been trading with my godfather who taught me the basics, to forex, to etfs and options. We were able to produce very great return rates (+20%) and we would spend hours talking about technical vs. fundamentals and other financial stories. He had a library full of trading books and such from A-Z. He passed due to a bout with cancer after about three years this August. We would talk about the markets instead of cancer and he really enjoyed that. He left his estate (+3.5M) into a Trust with me as a Trustee to continue trading/investing and I am still coming to grips with that. To get to the point, I am finding myself being unable to trade how we used to. I have ID'd many trades and just can't pull the trigger for some reason. I had the trade sitting in the queue and just didn't execute it and I know he would have called me a fool because I was within our "rules/system" but don't know how to get over it. Anybody experience something like this? Shall I try to find a new mentor? TLDR: Trading Mentor has passed away, unable to trade mentally anymore. Don't TRADE with all the $!!! Take 75% of the money and place it in a safe investment and trade with 25%.
No, I was serious. He lost his crutch and can't walk without it. So he could try to duplicate the situation under which he was comfortable as close as possible, and continue doing so until the problem is solved. A form of image training.

The diagnosis is psychological , the mental block , as per title is in the brain. Shall we treat patient for foot problems?
Unfortunately (or fortunately) there is no "we" in trading. It's not a team enterprise. He was a trader, you were an audience or an apprentice. The trader is dead now. In order to the member of the audience (or the apprentice) to fill the dead trader's shoes one now needs to become the trader. Its not as easy as it looks (if possible at all). That's why I am very skeptical of mentoring in trading: the apprentice has to be the right material, has the right stuff.... Do you have it? Provably your godfather thought so, leaving you the estate to trade. Was he right or wrong (do you have the right stuff in you) only time will tell. Good luck.
