There's been only one real racial divide vote in this primary season and you're not sharp enough to even know what it is. (and I'm not talking about 85% of blacks voting for the half black)
You better figure out what I'm talking about because it's reason number 2 that Obama will NEVER be the nominee. Despite the fact his odds are 1-7 right now.
Of course not. I've long known you're short on original thought. Until the media notices something you're cluless to it's existence.......
I rarely drink during the week. In fact rarely at all. You're going on and on about black vs. white nonsense. Only the insipid media thinks there's a story there. Where? Blacks will vote for a white Dem over a black Republican. To wit Keyes and Steele in MD. In turn whites will vote for a black Republican over a white Dem. To wit: Burke in Mass and more telling Watts in OK. Even someone like me will fully support conservative blacks. For instance if an election was Keyes vs. McCain I'd vote Keyes. The BIG story is that Mexicans are voting for Clinton based on race. Heck you're in the stomping ground. Clinton beat Obama by 8 pts in SD County. Exit polls show she carried Latinos by 2-1 and Asians by 3-1. It's those folks who will bolt the Dems rather than vote for the half-black. Plus he's scaring the shit out of doodoo type Jews. Read the comments under Dan Schnur's article in the NYT earlier in the week. Jews ain't stupid. Anyone who hangs with Wright and Farrakhan isn't going to be getting three quarters of the Jewish vote. Not only that he's getting hurt with gays. Ask Obama's "spiritual advisers" what they think of homo folk. Farrakhan's views on same-sex make Bush look like Barney Frank.
Here is the true 2004 vote by county....Nothing like your maps........All the democratic voting is from a half dozen urban areas.
Are the white republicans in the urban areas? Or in the burbs... This entire thread is so funny, in a tragic way. The white republicans are gripping hard trying to tell people that they are not racist. Yet, with very few exceptions, the white republicans vote white. Especially in the south. Does this mean that there are no racist blacks? Nope. Does this mean there are no racist white democrats? Nope. Does this mean there are not racist Hispanics. Nope. It really means that there is a whole lot of racism in America going on. We simply do not have real racial representation in D.C. We have a greater portion of racial representation on the democrat side, but from a % of black to blacks in elected power in D.C. we don't have racial representation for blacks, Hispanics, and other minority groups. We have how many Jewish congressmen and senators relative to the percentage of the population of Jews in America? We don't have genuine racial representation, period. The dems get the black vote. Why is that? Do you think blacks are stupid? (Maybe you do) or do you think that they vote democrat because they think the dems will help them, that they agree with the democratic platform? Unions have voted democrat, why? Because republicans want to end the unions. Everybody has a political agenda here, and there is plenty of racism to go around, so this nonsense that republicans are not racist is ridiculous. When the republican "way" demonstrates to blacks that their way is better, they will follow it. When they see more and more black republicans rising to power, giving back to the black community, helping blacks with their problems...then the black community will be more open to black republicans. We have not seen that yet, we have not even seen a trend in that direction. We see very isolated instances of black republicans in elected positions in D.C. If the republicans really want to change the situation, to influence the black population, then vote in more black republican senators and black congressmen and congresswomen... This denial however that there is racism among white republicans influencing the election of black republicans, especially in the south, is just ridiculous...
Z10, I have never spoken to you directly, but as someone who is in the position to know EXACTLY what black professionals think, this is the best post I have read this year, so far. Best Regards Oddi
