Oh look... The Obama Administration got slapped down by the FISA Court just last April.

Declassified Documents Reveal Illegal Surveillance of Americans Under Obama Administration

By Dr. Katherine Harris · May 27, 2017
The release of ‘declassified’ top secret documents reveals that the NSA, under the Obama administration, routinely violated standards, safeguards, and the Constitution.

In a ruling issued last month, but just now unsealed, the 99-page court opinion chastised NSA for spying without warrants. The FISA Court (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court) censured administration officials saying the failure to disclose the extent of the violations earlier amounted to an “institutional lack of candor” and that the improper searches constituted a “very serious Fourth Amendment issue.”

LOL, an op-ed from some hack Bush-Republican who voted to give NSA all these immense powers is now whining about 'abuse'. This is the same woman who claimed that an Arab was caught trying to blow up Florida which was a complete lie but we are now supposed to believe her OPINION on things.

    Conservative whining never stops.

Thank you for proving you are biased to the point of being detached from reality, Mr. exGOPer (as are the mindless lemmings who "liked" your post). Even with a link to the actual FISA Court document you still can't get it right. Those quotes are from the document and are the opinion of the FISA Court, not her. Also thank you for the comic relief that your lunacy provides!

I have no doubts that NSA abuses its powers but to see Bush era Republicans who voted and created this behemoth and who kept quiet about it's abuses during the Bush years trying to paint it as 'Obama admin abuses' when in fact Republicans in the House and Senate have complete oversight over them and can reign in these abuses.

Not to mention how Republicans just recently voted to give NSA the very same powers AGAIN.

    Hypocrisy, it stinks.

I don’t see any evidence of anyone being framed in Mueller investigation. I see Trump and republicans in congress attacking career service FBI agents - who are republicans too - for doing their job.

but, but, but one of those FBI Republicans resigned from a Donald Trump Golf club seven years ago. Obviously, that's very suspicious behavior. :D

Nothingburger? That's what they occasionally serve at dinner time in some of the penitentiaries that Comfy, McHate, Yikes, and Raisinstein might visit.

Kashyap Patel is a lawyer who has sometimes run afoul of the rules.

As a lawyer in Florida, Mr. Patel, 37, entered and then dropped out of a charity bachelor auction featuring some colleagues after a blogger pointed out that his license to practice in the state appeared out of date. In 2016, as a counterterrorism prosecutor for the Justice Department, he was berated by a federal judge who then issued an “Order on Ineptitude” directed at the entire agency. And over the summer, in a trip arranged outside official channels, he traveled to London, where he tried unsuccessfully to meet with Christopher Steele, the author of the dossier that purported to details links between the Trump campaign and Russia, according to multiple people with knowledge of the trip.

After less than a year as a Republican staff member on the House Intelligence Committee, Mr. Patel has found himself in the middle of another controversy. According to congressional sources, he is the primary author of the politically charged memo, released on Friday by the committee chairman, Representative Devin Nunes, over the opposition of the F.B.I. and the intelligence community, that accuses federal officials of bias against President Trump.

Now you know where they find these clowns - an Order on Ineptitude, that makes sense.

These must have been the career service (implying unbiased) FBI agents that L. Lynch said would take over for her after she semi-recused (but not really) herself after her tarmac stunt to take herself out of the loop.

Looks like the memo exposed just how biased they really were. Some are upset that the memo revealed their methods and sources. For example, one method is to go into court and lie about a salacious and unverified smear sheet against a political opponent. Lots of other methods too. Now they won't be able to rely on those methods as easily anymore.
