At great cost to the country. The people entrusted great powers to intel agencies and it resulted in an abuse of power and attempt to disempower a duly elected president or to impede his rise to power- all while furthering their preferred candidate by looking the other way. The agencies argue for more secrecy in protecting themselves against charges that they abused their special power and authority in secrecy. I have no sympathy. If it gets messy, they can appoint a special counsel, but they are not allowed to say FU to their oversight committees. That has clearly blown up on them. If they want out, let us know and we can bring someone in who has not worked for the fbi to look at it. Otherwise. Put it all out there. Also, no one, either dem or repub, said that there were any national security risks in that memo. There were risks to the reputations of justice department people so they hid behind the national security claim. Just another sign that a cover-up is in progress.

McCabe testified at length and I am sure there are hundreds of other things that could have been included. The dems should put whatever helps them in there, and the repubs should give their rebuttal. We can televise the McCabe testimony or have pay to view tv or anything you or they want when these witnesses appear before the committee again. Keep one other little factoid in mind as you are getting your hopes up: Christopher Wray read Nunes memo on Sunday. Then he fired McCabe from his position first thing Monday morning. Never a good sign. Maybe if he had read the transcript it would have saved McCabe, or maybe the problem is that he did read the transcript. Let your dem buddies put their defense together.
