We have an employee that we hired 3 1/2 years ago. She was given tasks but completed none of them. She just had a performance review and failed it, so she backstabbed her elderly supervisor. Now she is demanding a promotion in November, but refuses to interview for the new position. She promises that if she gets the promotion, she will do all of the tasks she didn't do before. But she won't do them now in order to force us to give her the promotion. What should we do? Sincerely U.S.A.
We had a employee we hired in late 2016 and started in early 2017. He was supposed to supervise a division but only caused continual staff turn-over -- as most people could not endure working with him. He was intolerant bully and continually told lies. Several thousand lies. He appeared to spend more time at the golf course than doing his job and appointed his family members in classic examples of nepotism. After blundering two major initiatives -- one of which caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people -- we finally fired him in 2020. Now he wants his old job back. How do we put an end to this insanity? Sincerely U.S.A.
