Alex_in_Oz No, I don't hang around the Russian Mafia. ...however working in the finance industry one finds winners AND losers! I'm sure that your totally correct on both counts particularly regarding losers in the finance industry. Isn't it funny how they seem to come out of the woodwork with monotonous regularity! Best Regards Johno
We get lots of these Russian Mafia types here. They jump ship like the Vasiliy Burkhanov currently docked in Melb. Buy a suit (with the money they stole from the honest people of Russia, admitedly in the minority) move to one of the many 'New Russian' enclaves and start crapping on about how fantastic Russian Traders are!
I saw a program where they showed Russian Mafia 'pump and dump' schemes on the RTS (Russian Trading System) Having succesfully invested in 'The Sewer' also known as Russia I have no time and/or no faith for that economy. The New Russian capitalists (leg-breakers) can go and live in Londonistan for all I care. I hear the Russian Mafia down here in Glenhuntly Road (unfortunately Russian is one of the languages I speak from working an emerging markets desk in Japan in the 90's) discussing their schemes to 1/ rip-off the casino 2/ rip-off a jewelry store 3/ rip-off their own people Then they 'invest their loot' in the ASX Thats the problem with Australia. The pinheads who work for ASIC do little or nothing and occasionally get some publicity for taking on Citigroup, and losing of course.
Hi Alex, I don't know if you've noticed but we have more than our own share of home grown thugs and thieves. Regards Johno
Yes. *Our Prime Minister John Howard....who the Labor Party have underestimated for 10 years! *"The Morloks" (working class brainless idiots) who keep getting conned into voting for the idiot/Liberal Party. *The Politically Correct Brigade: Who WANT you to believe that the word 'manpower', policeman, foreman etc is sexist and discriminates against women. I could keep going......

LOL That's a good trick. You surrounded my statement with your rhetorical reply! OK Where does everyone want to meet up?
Hi guys, Im looking to trade global futures. Does anyone have any recommendations for brokers preferably with an Aus office/contact? I have also been looking at Ninjatrader and Xtrader as they both have the direct order execution as well as good charting abilities (i think). Is one better than the other? any thoughts would be great.
