You've just grown too accustomed to Fox's softballery towards Republicans. That's not vertigo you're experiencing; it's your world shifting on its axis.
try again sigmund. I don't watch fox or any other commentary or fake news shows in my house... unless its debate night or election night. If i hear its because her east coast time is on our tahoe as I am driving my kids around. I don't even hear her that often. but every time she is on in my truck she has a guest ripping trump and she feeds softballs. like after the last debate. If I am near the screen, its to watch netflix or a movie we purchased or maybe play a little xbox with my kids.
I just re read how gingrich schooled her. these t.v. hosts are not used to getting real pushback - even from the guests on the other side of the spectrum. What does this passive aggressive host expect. She just calls trump a sexual predator... (for all intents and purposes) and she expects Gingrich to sit there and not call her out for being so unprofessional. He has far too much pride in himself and too much love for America to take that crap from her as she pretends to be a professional host. So he schools her about her use of inflammatory language. then after she gets shot down... can you believe how she ended her show. nothing more symbolic of a sick media than a passive aggressive news show host calling names after they get called out for going over the line. so completely unprofessional. she should just cut her hair even shorter and join the WWE. Good theater.
A good gauge of character is how people handle sudden success. In her case, not well. She is affronted that someone dares to challenge her. In fairness to her, first Trump and now Newt are probably the only men in her life who have told her to F off. It's a new experience for her, one that will become more common as she ages.
Being challenged is one thing, being called to "be crazy about everything sex" is simply unprofessional of Newt. He had no factual basis , it was sheer evil in him that spoke. Especially given that it was not Kelly but Trump who started this whole sexual connotation issue by talking about her menstruation cycle. Newt was not running the show and as such he cannot just change the entire show by pressing the issue of political topic coverage. The topic was agreed beforehand and it was on Trumps derogatory comments on women. By the way Kelly did not say Trump is a sexual predator. She asked whether he is. And she made a comment what if . . . , . . .clearly the tapes make it appear to be so.
I heard it on the air on Satellite radio. She said If Trump is a sexual predator.... Every public speaker understands that construction has virtually the same impact as saying he is a sexual predator. Had she said there are allegations and we have to cover them that might be one thing... but she goes on about this night after night from what I read and from what I hear on the radio. She knows what she is doing when she frames things that way. it is really unprofessional. That is why Gingrich responded so quickly.
I did not find her demeanor in that particular interview unprofessional at all. It's not about who won or lost , it was about an exchange of thoughts. He however interrupted her countless times and got angry and only wanted to push his agenda. It's not his show , it's hers. He had the free choice to appear on the show or not. But you can't hijack the show. And he kept talking about Bill which is ridiculous. BILL CLINTON IS NOT ON THE TICKET. HILLARY CLINTON IS. Nobody cares whether Melania has worked as whore or escort before because she is NOT on the ticket. PS: are you enjoying your satellite radio? You mentioned it now for the x-th time. You do know that there is what is called Internet and you can actually pick what you want to listen to, even in a car.
all of that may be interesting or true.... but is irrelevant to the point I am making. in a sense you are now hijacking. right?
Then may I politely suggest you are entirely missing the point and try to make a point that is not relevant to the issue. Last time I sat for English class the "if" construct does not construe that something is a fact. It introduces a condition on which a subsequent statement lies.
In my opinion Newt is entirely correct in regards to the assertions he is making regarding the coverage of Trump vs. that of Clinton. However he did not do very well in making his point in this exchange. I believe he could have done much better without dragging the conversation down to a level about "sex" in the media.
