I am totally with you. I would say the same if I wold read it here. Let me explain to you how the "real profits" work. Besides that I have been trading the strategy with my real money (and I believe the author does too), the website receives the signals before the market opens. WS than executes the signals as if it were an exchange. In case of ETF Pairs, it is so easy to "verify" that there are no errors (like what could happen on limit systems), since it always buys at open and sells at open. IRT "audited results": I walked the road 20 years ago. It cost me a lot of money. I had good results. But no investors. Just regulations to follow. Plus I really do NOT like wearing a suit. Finally, since I do not know the logic behind the system and have not seen research results on other ETFs or a longer history I also remain a little skeptical and do not put my house at risk. But I did put enough money on it to go on 10 day road trips. I would never recommend to put all your money on it! Fact remains, the results you see as OOS results are tracked by WS and I know they are real and OOS. See you next year....
Was there far too long time already, so I managed to "escape". And people who escape in general do that as they don't want to be where they are. So no need to urgently go back there. You better try to "escape" too and join me. If you do I buy you a beer.
This whole post reeks of a salesman wearing a cheap suit and a fake Rolex poorly pretending to not be a salesman.
I have this theory that Dealmaker is really just Baron posting a bunch of thread starter posts, but seldom participating in them, because the whole idea is just to generate discussion. I don't see the point in posting a 3 year old article not relevant today....
Why isn't the strategy author himself running it at maximum possible size? It would take him 5 years to make a million out a 100k and 10 years to make 10 million. Why is he not keeping it secret?
Plausible theory but it's wrong. I'm not dealmaker. In fact, in the history of this website, I have never posted even a single message from another username.
My back up theory is that he could be a friend or relative of yours who gets paid for posting thread starters. He has the highest rates of new threads I bet, and also the highest rate of nobody responding to those threads, meaning we aren't that interested in pretty houses and such. Could you state that Dealmaker has no special deal with ET? This particular thread makes no sense whatsoever because of it is so dated.
For us amateur retails not in the finance business and for newbies, the posts are very educational. I read most of them and got tons of information on what some of you professionals are thinking.
