Covid-19 will keep evolving (mutating) and people will need to adapt (survive) by getting vaccinated, surviving infection, or having a slow death from several days to weeks...the latter with their loved ones and friends watching...not able to properly mourn their loss. Darwinism...the good and bad. wrbtrader
'Deltacron' Covid variant merging Omicron and Delta now being monitored by health chiefs The new Deltacron variant, which is a hybrid of the Omicron and Delta strains, has been recognised by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) after it was identified in a UK patient https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/deltacron-covid-variant-merging-omicron-26212049

Meet all the variants at once... Multiple COVID-19 variants may be able to infect a person at the same time: study https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coron...ect-a-person-at-the-same-time-study-1.5803431
I knew it but still not enough study. I wouldn't be surprised if they discover that the different variants were helping each other. For example, one of the variants is able to easily infect someone but not as deadly...the other variant that's more deadly will hitch a ride by attacking other areas of the immune system in comparison to the first variant to invade the host. There's a phrase for that in immunology...I'll need to look it up in some of my old college books. --------- ...For instance, they found higher amounts of the variant in heart and spleen tissue in post-mortem tissue analysis. Researchers believe that targeting this specific pocket structure in the spike protein could be an option for future treatments of COVID-19... ---------- Regardless, it's going to generate some new treatments for Covid and possibly for other diseases not related to Covid but with a similar like of multiple infection attacks by different variants. wrbtrader
Are you aware of the many "adverse events" Covid infection causes including all the Long Covid symptoms? The most difficult adverse event being death by Covid. Over 95% of Covid deaths are unvaccinated. There is a lesson in this.
The official total is about 6 million globally. Yet, Covid-19 deaths are 4x higher. ---------- Real total could be much higher Globally, the six millionth death likely occurred some time ago. Poor record-keeping and testing in many parts of the world has led to an undercount in coronavirus deaths, in addition to excess deaths related to the pandemic but not from actual COVID-19 infections, like people who died from preventable causes but could not receive treatment because hospitals were full. Edouard Mathieu, head of data for the Our World in Data portal, said that, when countries' excess mortality figures are studied, as many as nearly four times the reported death toll have likely died because of the pandemic. An analysis of excess deaths by a team at The Economist estimates that the number of COVID-19 deaths is between 14.1 million and 23.8 million. "Confirmed deaths represent a fraction of the true number of deaths due to COVID, mostly because of limited testing, and challenges in the attribution of the cause of death," Mathieu told The Associated Press. "In some, mostly rich, countries that fraction is high and the official tally can be considered to be fairly accurate, but in others it is highly underestimated." Mexico has reported 300,000 deaths, but with little testing, a government analysis of death certificates puts the real number closer to 500,000. In India, where the world was shocked by images of open-air pyres of bodies burned as crematoria were overwhelmed, the scars are fading as the number of new cases and deaths has slowed. India has recorded more than 500,000 deaths, but experts believe its true toll is in the millions, primarily from the Delta variant. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/covid-19.341849/page-187#post-5558143 ---------- wrbtrader
