black people are lower in Vit-D because of their skin. Africans may be aware enough to supplement though.

I am aware that people living in Africa -- including South Africa --- generally have a vitamin D shortage. However there has been no proven medical link between low vitamin D and Covid hospitalizations. Clearly low Vitamin D can lead to other medical issues -- but there is no link to Covid hospitalizations or deaths at this point in time -- despite the issue being studied.

Let's take a look at some studies...

Vitamin D may not protect against COVID-19, as previously suggested
Increasing vitamin D levels does not protect against COVID-19 susceptibility and severity

First off, everything I’ve seen reported from S Africa has said, omicron has been producing mainly mild cases, so your panic post is news to me.

It’s been well documented that Hispanic, Black and Native Americans have seen increased Covid percentages in both severity and infection.

Most want to associate this to disparity in healthcare which I’m sure plays an important factor. But even in areas where these socioeconomic factors are eliminated there still seems to be increased cases in minorities.

I made a simple statement that’s self-evident, vaccination is not the only factor that contributes to the severity of covid

Tell your President to get on board and thank your Governor.

Maybe the President instructed certain states to run the ads ?

Not likely but I just wanted to put that out there considering you and I don't work in the White House nor for the state. :D

Simply, we don't know what they're doing (saying, recommending) with state governors.

Regardless, the current problem with the people in Africa is the low vaccination rates but that's actually normal considering they also have low antiviral therapeutic drugs for other illnesses along with higher poverty.

Yet, accordingly to a friend that did a medical internship in rural area of Africa...they have high levels of Vitamin D...higher than the rest of the world. In contrast, in urban area...its suppose to be the worst in the world.

Thus, based upon the recent discussion in this thread...the people in the rural areas of Africa should be doing well against Covid or have lower infection rates of Covid ?

Anyways, I think the people in Africa have bigger problems to worry about: malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS. Its a reason why Africa is a common destination for medical internships for students from France, Canada and the United States.

I am searching for recent 2021 primary studies directly on the subject since many of these are peer-reviewed and include larger data sets. As we have seen with Ivermectin many of the meta analysis studies are complete bullshiat -- many are based on poor quality or deficient studies from questionable sources as they try to take in the complete "universe" of information & data sets.

No, you just don't like that they contradict your preconceptions. Do you even know the methodology to weed out garbage studies when performing a meta-analysis? Of course you don't, so we're supposed to trust "you did your research on google" over PHD's being meticulous in what studies are included.
