Even with the countermeasures and lockdowns, the local regions were devastated even with low population densities and lack of modern mass transit.

Without those countermeasures, masks, and etc., the devastation seen regionally, would likely have been seen globally, if mass transit was available then, like it is now.

Its very hard to argue with ignorant morons... they don't learn.

Morons like GWB just make shit up about antibodies and ignore the rest of the immune system..

They don't use critical thinking skills.
They don't understand what they write does not invalidate natural herd immunity.
They make distinctions without probative value.
They don't get that part of herd immunity is the fact the virus thins the herd creating distance and smart parts of the herd leave or spread out.

They don't apply or even think about the concepts of Darwin and survival of the fittest.

They never apparently thought to ask important common sense questions in middle school or elementary school.

Why didn't the Euros die before they spread their viruses and wiped out the natives?

    https://www.science.org/news/2016/11/european-diseases-left-genetic-mark-native-americans

When the indigenous peoples of the Americas encountered European settlers in the 15th century, they faced people with wildly different religions, customs, and—tragically—diseases; the encounters wiped out large swaths of indigenous populations within decades. Now, researchers have found that these diseases have also left their mark on modern-day populations: A new study suggests that infectious diseases brought by Europeans, from smallpox to measles, have molded the immune systems of today's indigenous Americans, down to the genetic level.

The immune system is a complex structure, built over a person's life in response to environmental conditions. Antibodies, proteins that tag and attack viruses and bacteria, "remember" past invaders, allowing white blood cells to quickly respond during subsequent infections. Because different groups of people encounter different diseases—the European settlers had high exposure to smallpox, measles, and influenza thanks to close contact with livestock—they develop different antibodies. But what about the genes behind the immune system? Could those also change vulnerability to certain diseases?

You really need to look up the concept of a "novel" disease inflicted on a population. And then ask yourself how many Europeans these diseases killed over decades before being introduced to North & South America.

and how does that support your denial of the existence of natural herd immunity?
you really need to learn to think at a higher level before you write or cut and paste.

Maybe you need to ask yourself what is the cost in "herd immunity" in terms of death and misery.

There is also the other fact that achieving "herd immunity" for nearly every disease requires that over 70% of the people to be vaccinated or infected. As demonstrated in studies with measles it is nearly impossible to get above 50% of a population achieving immunity naturally by getting infected -- at the 50% level a disease may slow its spread by it does not stop. The only way to achieve "herd immunity" at a 70% level or above is via vaccination.

why are you denying science and lying about facts we already discussed?

India was at 66% with detectable antibodies in about 20 regions per their ministry of health.

When you add in 20% to 40% more for infected but undetectable at that time...
You have natural herd immunity by any legitimate measure.
Regardless of the narrative ... just consider the data.

India in a sampling of 20 urban areas with high Covid rates showed a possible 66% among those sampled. This did not hold up under other scrutiny -- because the study was contacting families of those who were infected to draw samples of households. If one person in a household got Delta then it is highly likely others did.

Tell us what the maximum Covid antibody rates were found in Stockholm or New York and other cities after sampling. There are many U.S. cities monitoring sewage now for Covid level detection - tell us what rates they have found over time -- which relate to infections not reported.

These ET troll BS artists know they are lying thru their teeth but, cannot back down because it will hurt their fragile egos to admit to their lies. They will continue with their BS until Corona Virus hits them or their immediate family members and requires them to be hospitalized. Then, the fun starts because these idiots will ask their extreme liberal doctors for Ivermectin to save their lives but, will not get it. You get the standard intubation that most Americans get because of your lies. Congratulations, ET trolls, you have managed to help suppress the widespread use of Ivermectin. Do not expect to get it when you and or your family members get Corona Virus. Karma coming for you.

    whose scrutiny where?
show us the link critiquing India's study... so we can read it.

areas of New Your City were over 70 percent.. (astoria if I recall)

  10. So you are making the mentally challenged claim that after European explorers wiped out thousands of people from their diseases they brought to the new world that after a hundred years or so they developed immunity?
