You have young people the last few years giving what they can to candidates like Beto and Bernie and still losing. You can be sure that in 2020, many of them will be so jaded, they'll just be like "Why should I throw my money away again this year?"
Texas used to be a very red state that the gop used to win by around 25 points in presidential and senate races.It was one of the reddest states in the country.Losing by 3 points after a continued downward trend of GOP winning margins is nothing to be disappointed about, especially when the young adult and under 18 black and hispanic Texas population is much larger now than when the GOP downward trend started in mid 2000.
If a stock dropped 22 dollars ( like the gop winning margin for Ted Cruzs seat) I wouldn't be buying that stock
