  2. - right click on the chart. pick "Select Indicators" and add Horizontal Line indicator, and specify a price for it

Thats not likely to be added - other than 2 points, would need 2 values on the X axis. This is really better done using free drawing

  4. Seeing as how if the IT Department finds out about your activites it may very well cost you your job, that might not be such a very good idea.

I believe this is possible but I have never tried this exact thing myself.

You would configure an SSH (encrypted) tunnel between your work and home machine. I do this and use VanDyke's products to accomplish it: VShell runs at home (SSH server) on an always-on machine, SecureCRT runs at work (SSH client) but there are other products (and probably freeware) that accomplish the same thing (SSH tunnel)

The SSH client creates a tunnel with whatever listening ports you configure. For instance I tunnel my email this way, so on my work machine port 25 (smtp) is automatically forwarded through the tunnel to my home machine which then is configured to forward the traffic to my ISP's SMTP server. In this way I can point Outlook to send mail using 127.0.0.1 as the address (local machine address) but it is completely hidden from my work environment (the traffic goes through the SSH tunnel encrypted). Incoming pop3 mail works the same.

So what you would need to do is set up a tunnel on the TWS listening port (default 7496), QuoteTracker is already expecting TWS running on the local machine (127.0.0.1) so it wouldnt require any changes.

I don't know your level of expertise, if this all sounds like gibberish then it probably isnt worth you time to go down this road. In order to make the SSH tunnel work you have to punch a hole through your home firewall, I recommend using a non-standard port (SSH default = 22) and you are going to have to pick a port that your work will allow outbound.

Lastly, as JimmyJam stated, if your corporate policy is to not allow unauthorized traffic and you use a method like this to bypass existing controls then you may well end up getting yourself in hot water. Depending on how good/paranoid your IT security dept is they will probably notice the strange traffic and come calling.
