Herry Jerry if you are lurking around...........I just tried QT for about the 4th time, thinking of switching from Sierra, and it appears when you draw a line it doesn't extend past the current screen? This should be something basic I would think. For someone using the same S/R lines day in day out for 8 different markets I sure hope I don't have to redraw them every day because the don't extend out past the chart window? This would be a deal breaker most likely. I would just stick with Sierra if this is the case. I don't even see an option for ray? Dan
not sure if this is what you're after but you can do the following: 1. draw your line 2. right click on it 3. select Extend 4. select Both this will extend the line ... well, both to the left and right also, you can set your default to have lines fully extend to the left and right (Options / Preferences / Charts / Misc / Trendlines (last item, first column) / select 'Both' from the drop-down hth take care omni
Also you can change each line to a different color and thickness. And if you put an "Alert" on either a trendline or a horizontal line you can make the line with dash's or dot's or a dash-dot-dash, ect... I wish Sierra was more versatile with their horizontal lines...
How do I programme a band of color onto a chart. By this I mean coloring the area between 2 lines that I would manually change each day. Many thanks
Is anyone having trouble with using the Cybertrader Backfill data source? It hasn't worked in a while for me and I was wondering if it was Cybertrader or Quotetracker. Thanks
Sorry for not replying for a couple days - was out of town. Once we do layouts, it will restore whatever you had with whatever color schemes you have. There would be no reason to force all charts to the same color scheme. It sounds like the stock split. You just need to define the split in QT. If for intraday, go to the portfolio editor, click on the symbol in question, click the SPLIT button, check the box to adjust the data, and specify the split date. If its for historical charts, just right click on the chart and select the option to clear the data TGM - We have no plans for a Linux version RCJ, Is the issue with just the charts, or quotes too? If just the charts, go to OPTIONS/Edit Preferences menu in QT. Click on CHARTS Tab, MISC sub-tab. on the bottom right, what is the chart refresh rate set to? commanderco, we do not have that capability. Sorry Since I am able to backfill with Cyber OK, my guess is it is not Cyber. Please select OPTIONS/WebUpdate menu and let QT update all files (even if you WebUpdated to get to the new QT version). After restart, do the WebUpdate one more time. Once you get "all files up to date" please try the backfill and let me know if you still encounter a problem.
Re: YM Chart lag. Refresh rate i set at 0.25 sec. long ago. Jerry.... All other quotes and charts are very fast using QT. Never any problem at any time. This only has happened during the 2 - 5 am CDT period it seems and only with YM. Ive only been watching/trading YM for 4 or 5 days so this may be just a temp phenom. cheers ....... rj
The charts are broken. They don't work. I emailed quote tracker since they don't have a telephone number and somebody named Mazel emailed me back who was very rude. The name was "mazel". They asked me how old I was. My age has nothing to do with using quote tracker and I think it was very rude of that person Mazel to ask me my age. I told Mazel that I tried to reset the QT and Mazel said they have no idea what "resetting" software means. The software is worthless and the customer helpless is worse. Mazel is disresptful. It is nobody's business how old somebody is just because they are using their software. Oh, and I did try to resolve this issue before posting here. I emailed customer service and was very rudely sent a response email from Mazel which was harrassing. Mazel had no intentions on helping a customer service problem but had every intention on harrassing customers when they ask questions.
