  1. Just registered QT

I've been a Tradestation user for the past 7 years and used to think I'd never change chart packages after having tried most of them over the years

I trade mainly off plain price charts, and the scaling and display functions in QT are the best I've ever seen. It has very much improved lately.

Tradestation used to cost me $2400/year + exchange fees, I can't believe that I can get a better charting product for $60/year. The customer service is great too, its almost instant on the emails I've sent !!!. TS used to respond with a "post it on the forum reply".

QT does take a little getting used to as its general layout and menus are different to the other packages, but if you take the time to set it up right (The standard settings don't do it justice) its as good as anything out there for charting.

Thanks Jerry and the team for a fantastic product

try going to the upper left corner of your chart with your cursor. There is a drop down there. click on the clock/show pre/after market go to extension and click on always show. You may have to do the back fill also after you do that.

  6. I'm trying to setup two charts of the S&P E-mini; one with 1-day, 3-min and the second with 2-day, 15-min. I made a copy of the CME ES timeframe and changed it to 1-day. I opened one chart on the ESH6 and used the chart's clock tool to set the timeframe to the "copy" timeframe and then set the frequency to 3-min. When I right-click on the ES symbol in the main grid to open another intraday chart it won't open another chart (it will for another symbol but not the same ESH6 symbol even if added to the main panel a second time).

So how do I initiate the second chart on the same symbol with a different timeframe? I read the help file info on multi-day timeframes but unless I missed it the text doesn't indicate how to open the second chart. Is a dual-chart for same symbol feature only available if registered? (beyond 2 days needed to make it work?)
    Thanks

  7. Open one chart. Then right click on it and select the option to open a new chart.

I have heard that you can pull up market profile charts on QT? If so ---put up one on the ZN (10 year note). You should put up pics on your website as well!

  9. TGM,

We have pulled Market Profile charting from QT for the time being due to legal issues. Once we have a chance to modify our registration system to charge extra for it, we plan to put it back in

  10. Jerry,

I need to register for a Good charting software package at an affordable price.

Ive looked at Esignal and others....but i wanted to query you first.

Im gonna check your site, but i wanted to see your suggestions also.

What i am looking for is pretty basic. I want to be able to open multiple intraday streaming real time stock charts. Say, I want to open 6 charts, one for each stock and plot some indicators etc.

Obviously pretty basic....but more than anything, i want clear charts that are easy to read and see what is going on....remember, im lookign at 6 at a time.

    Thanks.
