Use the toolbar within THAT chart to change to to Globex... If options/edit pref are used, then all charts are changed... Hopefully this is right
No. Timeframes are per symbol, not per chart because they affect some stuff that is not specific chart related.
No, that is incorrect. Options/Edit Prefs does not set timeframe at all. It is just used to configure timeframes, not select them. And selecting the timeframe on a chart sets it for that symbol, not just that chart - so if you have multiple charts on that symbol open, all will be affected.
Is there anyway this will be changed in the future? I know if you have QT on 2 different computers you can have different timeframes... It would be really helpfull to be able to do this on one computer...
not likely. You can run 2 instances of QT on the same computer if you want through. They have to be in separate install directories and the shortcuts have to have ALLOWDUP commandline parameter
I just tried QT, could someone answer my question: Can I open multiple windows with different time frames for one sysmbol? Get I get intraday data (10 min.) for the past few weeks? Thanks.
You can open multiple charts on the same symbol showing different TIME PERIODS and frequencies (Timeframe has a different definition in QT) For example - one chart showing 1 hour of trading at 1 minute frequency and another showing 10 days at 5 minute frequency. QT intraday charts are max 10 days, so up to 2 weeks. This assumes that you register QuoteTracker. For unregistered users, its max 2 days on intraday
Ah hah. Didn't know this untill now that you can run 2 instances of QT on the same computer. Thanks for the fast reply...
I know that QT is quite good. But sometimes, I just want something simple, there is not available and I want the ability to be able to quickly create it without telling the world.
