I have got an answer from another thread on my question to get IB backfill data: "The API-beta is already out for at least one week, and the TWS-843 (which is needed for it) is in Browser-beta. So you can already use it." Can I use it with QT too?
Thx Terr. I appreciate the consideration for the tick rate (speed/velocity) option. I agree, it should be turned off by default as are many of the options that I have selected in my own personal QT layout. Again, it's a wishful item and I would code it myself if I had the source code . It is only a focused request to assist those who appeared (in other QT forums) to have been trying to cross-pollinate a multitude of other items into what IMO boils down to tick velocity and it's first and second derivatives.
lojze We were out of town last week so could not get to it right when IB released it. We did add it this weekend, but may not be able to release it till tomorrow or a bit afterwards due to a problem that was found during implementation. Waiting to hear from IB on that first.
Ok, the "Show Tick Intervals" option has been added to the View submenu on the chart right-click popup menu. This will be per-chart. See if this looks like what you wanted (we will release it in the beta tonight).
LOL...Folks, how's that for service? BTW...would you guys consider making an option to timelink the crosshairs on all the displayed charts. Thats one feature I really miss with esignal. I was able to compare 2 or more charts on different timeframes and different symbols very quickly rather than looking at the bottom trying to see what time the bar was made. Thanks
Considered it but not something that will happen in the near future. Don't have time to deal with that.
Could you imagine an autotrading module from QT...Wow... or even kewl order placement like.....time stops...indicator based entries and exits...etc.. I don't even have QT, so I guess I better shut up...sorry guys. Michael B.
I have downloaded new QT version and when I click on any chart and then view I still can not find new feature. Am I too quick and you still didn't implement this? Alojz
mike screwed up the menu selection. If you download the full install again and just install over the existing version, it will fix (download the beta) The menu item will be in the right click menu, VIEW... if the chart is set to TICK chart.
Now as IB backfill is no more than days away (at least I hope so), I can ask if getting bigger screen (with the help of scroll bars) is also on anybody's wish list. I find out, that when I have list of stocks, L2 screen and sales data for one stock, I have left the place for just 14 charts, which is too little for me. Does anybody has the same problem? Jerry responded already, that this is not really on priority list, but maybe this is a bigger problem or maybe quite some people want that. On the other side, there is maybe a solution to this, but I do not know which one, except for 1600x1280 screen. Any idea or help available?
