Yes, we would like to have something like 2 months. Is there a chance to have this in a timely manner?
I second that. We should be able to have in the same portfolio bund (trading in decimals) and notes (in 1/2 of 32nd). So it should be something working "per symbol" rather than "per portfolio".
Oh yeah. No problem. Would you like fries with that too?... Medved's might be quick, but I believe this is asking for too much, too soon...
you are not going to see changes to this till at least end of the month due to vacation schedules. Sorry we can't match our usually fast release expectations this time
Hi Jerry... Maybe I didn't see it, but does QT offer stop loss chasing by %? In other words, I go long XYZ at $100 and I set my 3% stop loss at $97...when XYZ goes up to $110, can I set QT to auto chase the stop up? In this case to $106.70...(which means I lock in a $6.70 profit...) This would be beneficial to me as I swing trade...so if I'm at work, at lunch or something, and it trends high, then drops back down, I'm not scrambling to save my profits -- instead, I keep my profits instead of it possibly crashing all the way through my break-even to my 3% stop...(leaving me with a loss) Obviously, the next question is whether or not QT will support Profit Target stops... Of course, at this point, I'm asking for an automated system... Ninjatrader comes to mind perhaps... (it has these features)...
I couldn't get pre- and aftermarket charts at QT for friday, as I wasn't online. Neither Big Charts, nor Prophet.net doesn't offer this through QT. Any help available?
sirpangolin, Quotetracker does not do any automated trading. However, if the broker supports a particular feature such as Trailing Stop, QuoteTracker usually does support it. QuoteTracker does have a Trailing Stop alert, but that is not tied to trading (QT will not auto execute a trade based on it) NinjaTrader, ButtonTrader and the others are specialized tools for order management. That was not our intent with QuoteTracker. We do however have a trading API so other developers can integrate with QT and thus enable their app for many brokers without having to totally rewrite the access to each one.
BigCharts and Prophet are for Historical charting. You need the data on the intraday charts. Since you were not online, that means that you have to backfill the chart. Most backfill sources do not provide pre/post market data in the backfill. The ones that do are Ameritrade/Freetrade and eSignal.
For some reason, I can't get chart data pass 3:30 every day. I've checked my settings and everything -- it's supposed to go from 9:30 - 4 every day... Odd...
