  3. easyrider.

My price was always on top in Esignal.

I've used esignal for years and was pissed at their price increase last year. So my subscription ($100 a month) is about up and was determined to find an alternative. I dont need all the toys it has. Also, all the advertising that I am being fed daily from those guys, I know what I was really paying for.

I purchased a years QT registration yesterday and will have to adapt to the things I was familiar with in esignal. It will take time but I was sick of paying 3 times what I am paying for satellite television.

So I am going to take the $850 I save this year and take my wife out to dinner....an extra 15 times.

I'm just glad for the new scaling in QT, that's what got me.:)

  4. That shows you how observant I am. I used esignal for a couple of years but did not know you could do that. I did find another example. Is this how you want your charts to look?:D

  5. I think I would give up trading if I had to look at a chart like that. You would have so many mixed signals that you would never know which side of the trade you should be on.

I just have simple one color bars, a few moving averages, a price band and volume on the bottom. Having price on top of everything would be nice. Some days I put on a MACD depending on the price action.

I'm profitable---- and like Jerry said.....KISS.

  6. Does anyone know a free indices symbol and provider for the Nasdaq or NYSE tick?

Perhaps under Bloomberg NA? I'm trying a few here and getting nothing.

I do also have Freetrade but can't find anything there either.

    Thanks

  7. DisciplinedHedg, Ameritrade/Freetrade do not have TICK/TRIN.

You can use Scottrade for free streaming quotes with QuoteTracker. register for free (You do not need to be a client. Just need a US address). Once registered, just select "SCOTTRADE STREAMING (FREE Registration)" as the index quote site. Thats about the only thing Scottrade is good for.

  9. One last question, is it possible to get a backfill for the tick data?
