The bandwidth number is not a problem. I was checking on the number below the bandwidth, and what you indicated is not an issue either. If the quotes are up to date, then the issue is not connection related.

Are you sure you have the chart refresh set low? go to OPTIONS/Edit Preferences menu. CHARTS tab, MISC sub tab - bottom right. Set it to 0.05.

  2. Thank you for that response version77. They should explain it like that on the website. I thought it would be like my cell phone..I bought a $35 one rate package but my bill comes to $47 and change with the add on fees.

Are the bars on your chart instantaneous from the quote page? Also, running 3 moving averages- can one change the thickness of each separately?

Yes Jerry...my update time is set to .01 but it defaults back to .05 I believe when I start up the next day. I will reload the software tomorrow and try again.

    Thanks

  3. I am not too sure if my bars (candles) are building simutaneously
with the quotes on the quote page. I am going to have to check
that tommorrow. What bugs me a little is NinjaTrader gets it's
quotes off of the TWS market depth window and the inside
bid/ask is slower than what comes from the TWS quote page.
Heck, I think the whole thing is slower...

As far as changing the thickness of each moving average
separately...no... but it would be a good thing to put on the
Wishlist on the QT board... :)

  5. V77,

Are you scalping trying to pocket the bid/ask?

  6. Ah... no... but... ah... it still seems like the inside should be more
"correct"... IMHO... at least as far as you can get it in IB/QT/NT...

It really doesn't mean anything to my trading. Of course with using
IB's quotes in NinjaTrader the whole thing isn't even close to
what is really happening on a Dome with "real" ticks.

Trying to scalp the bid/ask with IB/QT/NinjaTrader wouldn't even
work because you really aren't seeing the "real" thing... IMHO...

  10. Well I do have to say that with the way IB quotes come in at
least you can see them at a more slower rate instead of a
every trade scenario where everything is going real fast...

So I guess this could be a good thing. I don't scalp in these here
neck of the woods so how would I really know? Glad to see it's
working for you bdixon619. Can you say how many cars you're
    pulling back and forth?... :)
