I think I fixed it with the trouble shooting option that you get by right clicking the icon when you open it.
Guys, what's comparable to QT that can be used in case Ameritrade decides to pull the plug on it? I've been using QT for 10 years and it's been phenomenal. I am not pleased at all that Jerry sold it and it's not being maintained by AMTD.
I have a dream, that all traders regardless of TA, PA, fundamentalists, domsters, fibo,s and all sorts in between shall have the opportunity to use, dare I say the greatest software since QT. Have a look for yourself. https://plus.google.com/103500733250781672836/posts
Can TDA do anything to stop it from running? My impression was that it runs on your PC and only contacts TDA's servers to determine if you have a minimally funded account there so that banner ads can be turned off. The TDA Streamer data feed may be turned off in the next few days since they're turning off Command Center, so some QT users might have to choose a new data feed. I'll miss Streamer and its tick-by-tick charts.
if you have the patch installed, then there is nothing TDA can do to interfere with QT itself. As for the datafeed, they can of course turn that off if you use them as the datafeed, but I am guessing that to be unlikely, regardless of Command Center's fate.
