Ain't that the truth. Half of me is pissed that I paid $21 for this MeditationSHIFT bullshit. The other half is amused.
To each his own, but to call it a ripoff is a bit extreme. You can say you didn't learn anything new, or it didn't work for you. But, they didn't rip you off. IMO, they provided solid information and a good plan, so it was $20 well spent for me. Overall I thought it was pretty comprehensive, and it got me meditating every day which was my goal. I won't argue that you can't find the information elsewhere - that's the case with anything, really. I can find information on any topic I want with Google, but I don't have the time to wade through all the crap and find something that I can put into practice.
Point well taken: You're right. I'm retracting the "rip-off" comment: It wasn't fair. I couldn't make heads or tails of it, but to each his or her own.
I missed that, thanks for posting. Good article and my first experience was similar. My brother started last week, and I'm going to send this to him because he pretty much went through the same thing. He should get a good laugh.
Hi everyone - we were alerted to this site yesterday. First of all, thank you for all of the kind words - we are happy that so many people have found value in our course. Second, it appears that many of you did our "meditation challenge" earlier this year (there is another thread on this site referencing it). Thank you for the support, and we will have another challenge before the end of 2014 - these are completely free, and we give you daily posts to help you keep at it (the goal is to get you to meditate for a few minutes every day, for 28 days straight). It will probably be September or October - check our site for details. Third, to user "tortoise," we are sorry you didn't get any benefit from the course. Thank you for your follow-up post, though, and for clarifying that it wasn't a "rip-off" - we appreciate that. We've been doing this for 11+ years now, and it would be impossible for 100% of the people who have ever taken our course to be perfectly satisfied (though we want that to be the case). Having said that, we have 11 years worth of history that you can find on the Internet, and our record is overwhelmingly positive when it comes to feedback and reviews. User "tortoise," if you are unsatisfied with the course we at least want you to be satisfied with our customer service. So, if you send us a message using the same email address you purchased with, we will gladly refund your $21. Thank you for giving it a try, and we wish you all the best in the future and hope you will still visit our blog now and then! Finally, to everyone else who reads this post, we want to say that whether you take our course or not, spend a few minutes and look into meditating. It can have a dramatic impact on your life, both personally and professionally. If you need a quick explanation of what it is, read Meditation explained in 60 seconds.
Just when you thought this was limited to the trading world. The only place still free of charlatans is religion. Oh wait, maybe not.
That's a sign you need to meditate a lot more! Until getting conned out of thousands of dollars leaves you totally tranquil.
Rightly! traders would rather lose thousands of dollar to the market and not complain to others, but will complain about paying $21 to learn one of the most profound, simple practices that will actually benefit the trader enormously in trading and in his personal life. Meditation is simple but hard. Wait! where have you heard that before? Oh! yes! Trading is simple but hard. But with self discipline and practice both will become easier and hence will bring you benefits. Yes, still going strong. Results are subjective, but simply more at peace and focused. Less stressed. Meditating is one of the highlights of my day, can't recommend it enough.
