  1. Very factually detailed answer....

  2. The going back and forth is my point, it proves that mismangement by either party leads to a poor city with high unemployment or crime, it is not a party trait.

Let's stop ignoring the faults of all politicians by pretending it is inherent in only one party. Only the Dems lie too I guess. Only the Dems spend a lot I guess.

Rudy v. Deblasio is not GOP v. Dem issue but you want to make it one because it fits your narrative.

    • Violent crime in New York began falling three years before Giuliani took office in 1994, U.S. Justice Department records show. Property crime began falling four years before. The decline accelerated during his administration, but the "turnaround" he claims credit for started before him.

    • New York was no anomaly, but was part of a trend that saw crime fall sharply nationwide in the 1990s, particularly in big cities. The city with the best record for reducing violent crime during this period? San Francisco.

    • Independent studies generally have failed to link the tactics of the Giuliani administration with the large decrease in crime rates.

Rather, many criminologists believe the decline in New York, as in Chicago, San Diego, Miami and elsewhere, was the result of a complex mix of social and demographic changes, including a break in the crack cocaine epidemic, an improving economy, and increased prison terms for proven lawbreakers.

SO let's not give Guiliani all teh credit and DB all the blame as though it is tied to party...

  3. Forget crime. I’ll even give you that socio-economic factors helped.

Now tell me Why were Rudy’s policies so effective at cleaning up the homeless, bums, junkies, and filth and DeBlasio’s policies actively encourage it?
The economy is great and the jobless rate is at record lows yet starting a few years ago you can’t sit on the subway anymore because a homeless person is laying down sound asleep across an entire row!
THAT WAS NOT PERMITTED UNDER RUDY!
THE NYPD/TRANSIT POLICE ENFORCED THE LAW.
DB has strictly mandated that the homeless, bums, junkies be left alone!!
HOW THE HELL IS THAT A GOOD POLICY FOR TAXPAYING CITIZENS? How does that benefit the city? Why would anyone encourage homeless and transients to camp out in public areas?
Please please tell me how DB’s ultra liberal policies are good? NY is turning into a shit hole like the 70’s again and it’s ENTIRELY due to DB and his policies

  4. This is not difficult to prove. Usually it stems from a lack of enforcement from local police. If police do not remove a homeless person's tent on the side walk or arrest them for littering by leaving trash or even public urination and defecation then things slowly start to look like LA and San Francisco.

If you want specific examples look at Mayor De Blasio in New York telling the police force not to arrest the homeless for "minor violations" like urinating in public or sleeping on the sidewalk.

"If you build it they will come." In this case it is "If you allow it they will come".

Democrats can have the richest tax base around (San Francisco) and needles and shit still cover the streets.

Does this mean there are no homeless in Republican cities? NO, it just means people know laws are enforced there so they don't take dumps in the street and leave trash lying around. They know to clean up after themselves. It should not be a surprise that if laws go unenforced things start looking like a shit hole.

I don't think bickering and political point scoring will solve the slum situation. Socialism appears to make matters worse...

I don't have a problem, as long as the disabled parents can pay their own way in life and look after the child properly.

  6. Hey, if you people out in California could stop taking a dump in the streets and put your needles down for just a few hours you could watch the Patriots win another Super Bowl here in a few hours!

There shouldn't be a dime spent on foreign aid or any illegal immigrant until every homeless Vet has a permanent roof over their head and a hot meal in their stomach.

No tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires until every homeless Vet has a permanent roof over their head and a hot meal in their stomach. The trillions in tax cuts Bush,Trump and The GOP congresses gave to millionaires and billionaires could have bought a lot of housing and food for vets.
