Why not? I have two eyes and a brain. Try to have any sort of sensible discussion here and people will argue that the sky isn’t really blue.

    Census data for CA: https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/CA/INC110222

Median household income $91k in 2022 dollars. And any cost-of-living adjustment to enable an apples to apples comparison of real incomes by state will need to adjust that figure downward.

  2. Probably 35% of the people currently residing in Calif are new immigrants and living on state aid or propped minimum wages. Is this real income? (its an experiment in Socialism gone wrong) Because of the decisions of open borders and the forced Min Wage explosion, we all pay $20 for a McDonald's standard meal. Anyone today frequenting McDonalds is supporting this "New Socialism Experiment"

SpaceX has been a Texas corp for a few years now
Tesla has been a Texas corp for a few years now
Starlink has been a Texas Corp for a few years now

Austin texas has the highest tech growth and the highest biotech growth in the USA by a long way

Many many high tech companies have fled Calif. and the west coast in general. Boeing's largest manufacturing center is in South Carolina. All Japanese Auto Manufacturing is in South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia etc..

The OP was attempting to provoke a Blue State - Red State emotional reactionary thread.

If that is the case that would bring down, not up, the median.

And you bring up socialism but point out others who mention such triggers.

I tried to address your points in a later post, agreeing that while CA personal income is likely high, $124k seems overstates but the analysis to get there isn't provided.

It seems, not that long ago the unwanted were the Irish, the Italians, the Jews, the Eastern Europeans.... Like those, the majority of this new generation of immigrants are actually productive citizens, in CA at least, where they happily accept jobs that locals won't take. And you won't see many of them in homeless camps around LA.

CA has tons of problems but when I see, day in day out, those unwanted by Texas, working their butt off to build a better life for themselves, I see hope that somehow we can make it work.

Who moved out? Heaven forbid, my fellow Republicans? Is that why our ranks are thinning fast. :(

You also mentioned those who made their billions in CA but are taking their billions to Texas. They are so stingy they won't even leave a few bread crumbs to the state that made them their billions?

America used to be generous, giving and compassionate.

The problem with California especially the SF bay area is that if you're not a millionaire it is very expensive to live here on a daily basis. The politicians here refuse to build more housing and they refuse to end the crazy regulations & red tape so that building is easier. Its obvious their agenda is to create a wealthy enclave and they want poor fucks to GTFO.

There are 36 "cities" in the bay area with a median house price of $2+ million. I wonder where all the poor service workers are going to live to service these lazy millionaires?
