    Here’s his full Quote:

Just because cities like Chicago are financial centers does not mean their their GDP "contributions" are meaningful. They don't actually produce anything worthwhile except for wealth for financial firm leaders and their cronies.

The bottom line is that good portions of these Democratically-run cities are violent crime cesspools. The white-collar financials guys in these cities are just another type of non-violent thief.

I really don’t understand what you’re trying to say here. A lot of the small children that are killed are done so with guns. I think it’s the second leading cause of death for minors actually.

Have I mentioned the nra is evil?

Well there’s some truth in that registering a weapon has a degree of difficulty but I don’t think that’s outside of the meaning of well regulated.

And what do you do with the 4.5 million guns illegally out there right now in the hands of criminals? You think they'll register?

Some people may try to register. I never underestimate stupid people as a rule.

But we have to treat illegally possessed firearms the same way we do now, if they’re illegal law enforcement needs to take them off the street. Overtime the amount will dissipate.

Ok, so you think that some small amount may try to register illegal firearms. That's not going to happen because they aren't legally allowed to own those firearms. If they could, they would have bought them legally in the first place.

This means that your registration and licensing and insurance would only be done by people with legally owned firearms, who - by a vast majority - are not the ones who commit crime. These law abiding citizens don't break the law now, so for them, registering their firearms won't have any impact on crime - since they don't commit crime by and large.

Since we already have law enforcement working to remove these from the street, your suggestion to put in place registration, licensing and insurance would do nothing to reduce crime - which is what you said we need to do this for in the first place. Help me understand your logic.

Like I said some people are stupid and will try to register an illegally owned weapon.

To my other point, guns used in street crime, especially murders and other shootings, are often discarded to hide evidence. A pipeline is needed to replenish these guns. Also there is the normal wear and tear that diminish the usefulness of a gun. A registration will prevent the pipeline by ensuring guns stay with their legal owners.
