It could also mean that he has an underlying medical problem and his Doctor needs feedback about his blood pressure / pulse rate during his daily activities.

I knew someone that had a few serious problems such as severe sleep apnea and heart problems...the Doctor needed the info from him while he slept and during the day in his typical daily activities...it included the part-time trading.

The guy is well capitalized with a +100k account and only trading 1 contract Emini NQ futures. Yet, his numbers consistently went thru the roof when he traversed from his part-time trading to his full-time job.

Yet, his numbers were normal when he only traded or only worked that part-time job (no trading that day).

It's a big puzzle for them to solve
although I'm sure they'll eventually figure it out, especially with all that data his Doctor is receiving from those devices that monitor him while he sleeps, trades, and works.

I personally find it fascinating because I routinely measure my own numbers only on the trading day that I'm also heavily exercising (e.g. rowing, biking)...a routine I'm very robotic like.

It makes me wonder if we need to be robotic like in our trading to have smooth low healthy numbers during our trading so that it doesn't result in a medical issue one day. If so, how long does that typically take for other traders to get to that point when they enter the business or career of trading.

Schizo post some interesting articles @ https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...rate-while-trading.369622/page-3#post-5675107

That too makes me wonder if we as traders should be more alert and monitoring our health while trading or heavily invested in the markets. Reminds me the stories I heard during the great market crash that plunged the entire world into a great depression in 1929...

People took their lives because they couldn't emotionally handle it when they were faced with ruin. It's not just an issue of trading...its also people with normal jobs faced with financial ruin. More importantly, how we view money in our daily lives and while trading...how it impacts our trade decisions and investing decisions.

    I did that before.

I also used EMWAVE from HeartMath.
It is a useful gadget to let you know how calm you are.
when you are not calm, there will be an audio alarm.

  3. This is very cool technology: https://store.heartmath.com/emwave-pro-plus/
Of course, it's not cheap. I am a cardiovascular disease patient and will consider this in the future.
Regarding trading stress, here is my assessment based on your trading style: (high to low)
    1) discretionary swing trading
    2) discretionary scalping
    3) systematic swing trading
    4) systematic scalping

I went with the Inner Balance for the iphone. It's about 1/2 the price and doesn't take up any system resources. They are very similar.
