1. Yes by and large I got my ass kicked from 2003-2005. Actually a Bond short in 2003 was my single worst trade money wise. 2. I made 4x or 5x more from 11/06-3/08 than I lost the the prior 3 years. My biggest losing year this decade was -25k in '05. I made 80k in one month on the break.
Your first guess should be because his formula had pi in it, which has nothing to do with sane technical analysis.
