Wow, that is funny. Did you come up with that one yourself? If so, I can see why you are the 30 million dollar man.
More actually, no that came to me from a friend who is a brilliant woodworker and graphic designer. He moved to Colombia because he can get the drug he needs to keep his cancer at bay here, where he would have just died "like a dawg" or a squirrel in America. A lot of Amercians take advantage of the health system that recognizes access to lifesaving medicine as a legal right for residents.
More McOligarchy Loyalty to leader is supreme, cronyism is number one. This fella is to be made responsible for nuclear missile defence.
I was hoping to hear some discussion with Democrats that included self reflection and figuring out why we got crushed by a guy who is 78 years old and an order of magnitude more divisive than any candidate ever. Instead, every talking point seems to just be double down on the same old, losing positions. It shouldn't be this hard to figure out that a platform based on elitist luxury beliefs is stupid and that something else needs to be tried after losing this badly. If we can't beat Trump then how are we going to beat JD Vance in 4 years? Vote for me because the other guy is Hitler is not a winning platform. In 4 years vote for me and I will bring back the illegal Mexicans is just as much an elitist losing luxury belief as vote for me so we can have the first woman president. This was an enormous rejection of the entire platform of the Democrats. I consider myself a Democrat but most in this party are too stupid and have their head too far up their own ass in order to make the kind of change the Republicans made from Mitt Romney to this. Most are so isolated in their own bubble that it is hard to see what the mechanism could even be for change. The best we can do is we lost because Americans are stupid, even though we are supposed to be the party that champions democracy. We really though are a party that has largely collected the dumb people with masters degrees of American society plus celebrities and those who have enough wealth to not have to bother venturing outside their bubble.
You can't stop an ocean liner on a dime of course. The momentum carries a while. It is however time for change and it means some of us getting off our asses and getting stuck in. I was a very little bit involved in the Nebraska Senate campaign this year where an independent blue collar, Dan Osborne, was trying to take a seat from an incumbent Republican. Closer than expected, no win sadly, but the model can work.
