The McClellan Indicator was developed by General Randolph McClellan, a U.S. Civil War era figure. I have never been able to make the indicator function properly, and if McClellan were still alive, I would take my revenge by beating him senseless with a golf club, then flying (or taking a cruise ship) to Europe to avoid prosecution.
