If Mac wins, he'll have no other choice than to veto like crazy. The dems will bring so much rediculous spending legislation, it won't be funny.

Also, after what Bush and the Rep. congress has done in this decade, it's the only chance they'll have to not lose the party all together. Republicans are pissed and so are the dems right now (at congressional republicans).

  3. What makes you think it was any different 100 years, or 150 years ago? It has ALWAYS been that way and ALWAYS will be that way.

  5. Obama is going to win. Did you hear his speech. Man he is really inspirational. We do need change in America. Obama cant afford to mess up. He is setting a precedent for anyone else behind him of any color to step up and lead. I would love for the two candidates to have a debate but in a way i dont think it would be fair for McCain.

Where does it talk about universal health care int he constitution?

If everyone knows McCain can't win, then why is he tied or ahead in most polls right now, when any Democrat should be up by 10+ points?

At best it's dead even right now and Obama has historically over-polled. Look at the primary polls versus Hillary. He almost always actually drew about 2-3 points less in the actually primaries compared to the polls.

Obama peaked in February. This will be a close one, no doubt, because the timing couldn't be better for Democrats, but in the end, I think Mac wins.

Ya think so? Then why has Obama ducked McCains call for several town-hall debates? Instead, Obama only agreed to three debates. Mac wanted much more.

The reason is that Obama, delivers great speaches, but he doesn't do nearly as well in debates. And I'm not talking about Democratic primary debates either. There was no difference in policy amoung the Dems, but obviously McCain will push the issues.

All of a sudden, univeral health care and affordable tuition, don't sound quite as good when you have to explain how to pay for them.

With $9 TRILLION in debt, there is no way that we can afford Obama's agenda, without raising taxes significantly.

And by the way, there aren't enough wealthy people to only raise taxes on people making $250k/year or more.

  9. Debates is more about experience and speeches more about charisma as well as a gift of gab.

Obama and Palin do great speeches. Biden has the experience for debate. McCain is rather moot on both.

USA needs to rise taxes, especially corporate taxes, it's insane to think differently - you would be digging your own graves if you don't. Take it gradually, instead of running the whole country into a ditch which you can't get out of again... for many, many generations.
