First of all control is not a majority. Why would this democratic congress try very hard to improve things when there is an election looming? If things look bad the Republican president gets blamed in accordance with the plan. Then said Republicans lose control of the White House and Democrats are in full control.

Regardless of it is a Democratic congress or Republican congress what do you want them to do about high fuel prices? You're not entitled to cheap fuel when you import the vast majority of what you need. If you can't afford it, use less of it.

Phil Gramm was both right and wrong in his recent contraversial comments. He was wrong about saying the nation was in a 'mental recession'. This is absurd, the economic pain people are feeling is very real.

However, he was spot on with his 'nation of whiners' comment. Personal responsibility is a concept of the past. America is now a nation of lazy, uneducated people who want everything handed to them. The nation was built upon strong backs and sharp minds. Now sadly, it's just a litigator's paradise.

Anyone who voted for Bush over Gore is hereby not allowed to comment on this thread lol. Who, but a dyed in the wool Republican voted for that hafwit, inbred fuck over Gore, a true Genius. Bush is so stupid I wouldn't give him a paper route.

I don't like Obama or McCain, but I give the nod to Obama, because he seems more intelligent, and APPEARS to mean well. McCain, appeared to be a moderate until he got the nomination, and morphed into Bush II. Obama may fuck up, but I won't vote for 4 more years of the crap we have had under Bush. Could anyone be worse than Bush, except maybe Cheney? Anyone who voted for Bush needs to have there head examined. I would not vote for a retard just because he was a Democrat.

  6. Really now?
So why has this country repeatedly suffered from HUGE BUDGET DEFICITS the last 7 years?
Ever notice how Dumbya has rarely used his veto pen?

  7. You might as well call the entire state of Ohio a bunch of morons . . . They are the one's that Karl Rove motivated to the polls via the "gay-marraige" and "family-values" message that sent Dumbya to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for a second term in 2004.

    Anyone remember that?

Republicans, as in Joe and Martha Republican, vote according to their inferred direction in taxes and how it will affect them depending on the candidate.

Bush and Co. are not concerned with costs. They just shift it to the next group to fix. (And yes, I voted for this idiot!) Sorry, I meant puppet.

  10. Last time out 11 states had gay marriage on the ballot. The popular vote went to the loser......

    Polls today are poorly done.

The Dem's primary was won by a person who did not win the democratic states. His oppnent won those states.

In the national election, a dem winning in republican states in the primary is NOT going to get those states in the national. Who is going to win the democratic states in the national?

Independents rule in this election as a blocking coalition. Race is an issue and so is age. Some independents did not have a chance to vote in the primaries, especially in less sophisticated states.

How many points in the polls do each candidate have to ignore because they do NOT come from tipping point states?

As the Summer comes to a close the markets (economy) will be down to lows that have not been seen for years.

6,000 centrifuges will be pumping away 24/7 in Iran. Hurricanes can now use gulf waters to advance two levels in their trip across the gulf... a first except for Katrina. (See Doli last week)

Who is going to win in 2012? The ecomomy is a set of dominos that have not started to fall and already Congress is not able to create solutions of merit simply because they do not know what is going on and can't find out. The federal government has already stepped way over the line and generations will have to deal with the consequences.

Shelf ice in JAN was breaking off at a square mile a pop. In FEB it was breaking off at 5 squ mi a pop. In MAR a piece 6180 sq mi came loose unexpectedly. (All antarctica)

Peak oil happened. Look up in the pic; thats where the hole in the ozone layer is that was caused by airosals

Our auto industry is screwed. Mark to market isn't going to happen until a couple of quarters, then watch out.

See the Olympics to get the picture of air quality worldwide.

Spend a night in Moscow (the place with most billionaires and the most expensive town around)

Bring in T Bonne Pickens.. its only 4,000 units and we can do 22,000. And no grid and no tax relief for grid makers. LNG is NOT going to hit Boston ever. Mainers spend 25% of income on energy now. (there is a deep water port in Maine and it is not under construction). In '78 the swedes were shipping white pine chips from Wisconsin to Sweden to a little company called Ikea.

fat kids..... no engineering education anymore.. US doesn't do Health it does ILLNESS...... which is many times more expensive.

    Infrastructure....grids.... pipelines....

Homeland security..... emergency relief.... Santa Claus is collecting money this summer.. Red Cross can't get blood anymore.

What good is calling 202-456-1414????? Supenas stopped working too.

An independent is going to be elected President in 2012. This country needs leadership and the political parties can no longer nurture leadership.

The media stinks... What is going on in the world is unknown to the US viewers. Sunset is coming for the US. Some countries are very close to energy self sufficiency. 2020 was a target for some of them 40 years ago by planning.

The global internet is where leadership is going to come from.... The US is going to learn to follow the voices of people from the global internet.

Money as we knew it is over. Making money is the dynamic each person needs to step out of the system and be an independent world contributor. We get volatility from here on in (not out). Fixing the mess is going to be a global fix. And global leaders are going to do it.

The 2008 election is just one more Talk Show.

An independent is going to win the 2012 election and then we will get down to business by using blocking coalitions to rewrite the roadmap. The US will be a shambles part way through the next administration.
