Despite my feeling he gave up on Fl by stating earlier that he would cut Medicare benefits, John McCain unveiled another tax cut plan. One of its key elements is to tax 401k/IRA withdrawals at 10% max and reduce LT cap gains to 7.5%, thereby appealing to retirees. BWAHAHAHAHA. Don't know what I was expecting to read, but that's pretty funny. People's 401ks have tanked HARD these past two weeks and like it or not, they're blaming the Republicans for it. No one is going to give a shit about a last minute tweakage to the withdraw tax. When the radical Christian nuts come knocking on our door explaining to me how if I don't vote for McCain, the terrorists have won (don't laugh, it happened in '04), THEN I'll know the final Hail Marry has been thrown. Like it or not, fear and racism are the Republicans' last chance at salvaging this thing. (Let it be known, I'm not rooting for either side anymore. Either way, this is going to be a catastrophe of the greatest magnitude.)
