You guys dont know shit about politics. McCain knew he was not going to win in November... he had no choice by picking Palin... a wild card. Now he improves his odds to a hail mary long shot pass. Im listening to this hottie's speech right now .... boy oh boy .... cant wait to see what happens when she debates Biden.. it will be ugly. (she is definately not a speaker)
Come on pal, we all know that this is over for mccain. she won't bring any votes in a country with 3 military fronts and a economy like this.
I disagree. She has more Executive Branch experience than Obama. After all, she is in her first term as head of the nation's largest state. Obama spent his timne in the Legeslative Branch running for President. - Spydertrader
Hehe, well - just like Joe Biden was a terrible pick and a terrible speaker - Sarah Palin is an excellent, really excellent speaker... She had McCain really sporting a worried face and must be thought of as "Mrs. Integrity" standing up to the "Good 'Ole Boys Club" - up until she started mentioning McCain himself. She successfully reached out to Clinton supporters, and clearly shows she has brains with enough to go around for both of them running for office. Wonder how it will go down with truly right-wing conservatives - and all the religious Christian fundamentalists of USA - hehe, and all chauvinists... traditionalist republican voters. The KKK is probably sitting this one out.
My first reaction was game over for Mccaine, but after listening to her speech I started thinking she doesn't sound like a beltway insider. I find that rather refreshing.
She was one name that movement conservatives had frequently put forward. The other possible options, eg Romney, Pawlenty, Lieberman, were not all that attractive, so I think the conservatives are very happy with this pick. The open question is whether McCain has helped his chances with this pick or if he would have done better by going in the opposite direction with a Lieberman or Ridge.
How will the female voting population feel about big, bad Biden whipping the ass of a young, good looking, inexperienced woman? Or will he hold back? This pick might be a stroke of genius on many levels. Game getting more interesting.
I still think it's Obama over and out, but it's sure as hell not because disenfranchised Hillary voters will vote Republican because of this. Palin's politics are anathema to a lot of Hillary supporters. I just saw Palin's acceptance speech and she looks and sounds very very green.
Have to agree with my brother You KNOW this was a good pick 'cus the msm is beside themselves. Obama got a 4 pt bounce........are you kidding me?
