McCain born in Panama

  1. 1.I don't care WHAT the rational is: Invading an Islamic fundamentalist country possessing nukes is a recipe for something that'll make Iraq look like the glorified gang fight it truly is.
You're concerned with bullshit when NUCLEAR WAR is on the table.

2.Flip flops? Are you friggin' kidding me. McCain's been in the Senate for like 3 decades and he's had few changes on positions than Obama's had in three months!

    Campaign finance.
    Eavesdropping lawsuit protection.
    D. C. gun ban.
    Nafta.
    Wright.
    Decrim.
    United Jerusalem.
    Cuban embargo.
    Timetable in Iraq.

I could add several more but his flip flops evolve by the minute.

Of course it's because he's a nuanced, changing, evolving man. Whatever.

  3. How surprising? Another thread that goes off topic with the first reply. :(

In any case, most constitution scholars have offered the opinion that being borned on a US military base while either of your parents were in the employment of US military allows the child to be designated a 'natural born' American.

The constitution should be amended to say 'natural born' is someone borned of US parents and who has never taken citizenship of another country.

It is interesting that Obama was borned in Hawaii and if he were borned a few years earlier, he would have been borned into a US territory and not a US state (Hawaii became the 50th state in August 21, 1959).

  5. Wait wait wait... Republicans told us that Iraq had nuclear weapons AND weapons of mass destruction and we invaded there anyway.

Actually that one's false. Obama said that he would take public funding if McCain did, and McCain is opting out.

Ummm... not quite -- Obama opposed blanket immunity in the bill, and it was taken out of the bill that he voted for (although replaced with this "note from the president" nonsense)

Nope, an aide spoke and Obama corrected him on his position

Now, you try one -- what's McCain's position on medical payments for viagra but not birth control?

Here lets ask McCain himself. Watch him stammer and stutter about his own position, and admits that even though he voted on it, he's never thought about it:

  7. Not surprising republicants would vote for someone foreign born, republicans have NO respect for the constitution. If the argument is a military base is indeed american soil then why have gitmo? Why arent they entitled to the same rights since the base in cuba is a usa military base so in fact its the usa.
If Mccain selects huckabee or paul I will vote mccain, although I do feel he is to old. Its quite shocking the amount of senior citizens that are in positions of power and leadership in the congress.
How are we going to get new ideas from a person who cant email or text message some one? These people are looking back,,we need someone looking forwards.
I would expect with the election of a republican a doubling once again of the national debt and a continuing policy of the pesofication of the american dollar.
My party has abandoned its principles and Im upset about it. Its time for term limits in congress,,,

  8. Or who can't even do basic research with Google, forget Lexis-Nexis.

Yet you might vote for him.

    For God's sake, why?

I've never understood this comparison. Viagra treats a medical condition. What medical condition does birth control treat?

  10. Pregnancy.

Now, anyone know what McCain's position is on this? If he's against it, fine, because he isn't sure.
