The idea that prostitutes could be closer to the Kingdom Of God than certain kinds of religious hypocrites IS A BIBLICAL CONCEPT.

    Interesting backlash.

I view Mohammed's plagiarism as a kind of backlash, borrowing from Jewish and Christian folklore to give us a testosterone-on-steroids new religion in the 7th century.

In the 19th century, another derivative of Judeo-Christian literature/culture/style mushroomed up out of the darkness via Joseph Smith.

I suppose anytime you're faced and forced with cognitive dissonance (not to mention sex, violence and rediculous theology) in letters, the backlash can be unpredictable as people's heads explode.

What do you mean by "irrelevant"?

    Quote by Jesus (Luke 22:19-20):
And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.

Quote by Paul of what Jesus said (1 Corinthians 11:23-26):
“This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant, do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

=> You have been proven wrong and should own up to it because you proclaimed in post #82 , I quote you: "Worse, Paul doesn't even quote Jesus at all and poses as a news anchor, only its fake news. Don't even get me started on the rediculous "old testament".

The bible is the most read book, the most purchased book, the most quoted book in the world. You can choose to believe its content or not. That is entirely up to you, but the above proves that your claim is wrong.

    Case closed!

    1. your post admits your ignorance. You proudly refuse to listen to the evidence, yet you feel qualified to make a comment about whether McCain should respected.

You won't silence me by telling me he served on the hill or was shot down in viet nam.
You will silence me by talking about the quality of his service. Most politicians in D.C. have sold out americans to the globalists. I don't consider that service to our country.

    2. we are not selling our soul to Trump. We are sensing this president may be our last change we have to save out country for the establishment scum that were selfishly extracting its wealth for nefarious reasons. We were really close to watching our country tip into 4 to 8 more years of more govt, more taxes and more people in the middle class become the working poor. We hope that this president whoever it was would change our course.

how would anyone estimate whether the bible is accurately quoting jesus when it quotes him.
most of the arguments I have read or heard on that subject are weak. Frankly they were made misusing the rules of evidence such as hearsay and declarations against interest.

So if you have an original take on the subject, I would like to read it.

So you came up with ONE QUOTE from someone who didn't show up on the scene till 20 years after Jesus' resurrection.

ONE QUOTE from a Johnny-come-lately who was given more press than all actual apostles combined.

My point still stands, even though I misremembered how few quotes the apostate Paul mentioned.

I was off by one quote.

It's been a couple of decades since I owned a bible, about the same amount of time it took Paul to show up and manufacture an alternative gospel that made sense to a former-Pharisee.

Not that you need to quote Jesus to know what your talking about.

But the earliest "gospels" were simply books of quotation...100% quotations vs. Paul's .001%

You need to admit whatever Paul said was AN INTERPRETATION of a twenty year old legend.

I do have an original take on the subject, and rely on that for the 5% figure. That source claims to have been very close to the original source (Jesus) and the "Gospel of Thomas", which was a book of 100% quotations consisting of about 70% authentic and 30% spurious (added by idiots with agendas).

Besides this there are organized efforts, even of those considering themselves Christians, to give a confidence weight to anything they say Jesus said. Nothing is taken with 100% confidence. The confidence of those kinds of folks is astonishingly lower than most bible-believing type folks, but generelly much higher than my 5% source.

For my own puposes, to come to such a conclusion, I maintain that you must know what the "gospel" actually is before you can judge the authenticity of anything they say Jesus said. If you know the gospel then you can see where they've put words in his mouth to satisfy an agenda. If you know the gospel there are things you would just never say...or do.

From this perspective, most of what he says in red letters is ambiguous, and insufficient for anyone to understand exactly what salvation actually is. Ambiguity surrounded by "con"text amounts to a co-opted agenda, providing a type of "salvation" in the opposite direction Jesus was pointing to.

You were wrong and you are too much of a pussy to admit. You are not even a man who owns up to his mistakes. Even when you are confronted with counter evidence head on you deny and can't admit your claim was wrong (by the way it's not just one quote, if you want me to post more and make you look even stupider then please raise your hand)

The inability to admit where on is wrong is a pretty serious character flaw, especially in trading.
