Max SPX daily gain ?

Anyone know what the record daily gain (or even better the record 10 gains) in the SPX index is or where I might be able to find such info ?

have you tried a search on google?

 

You might try downloading into a spreadsheet the daily SPX price history from Yahoo or other for whatever time period you're looking for and work it out.
