I love that documentary! I have both the VHS and the DVD. Banjo still posts on ET from time to time. I think he is sailing the world.
Praetorian is doing well! I met with him several times for the hedge fund biz. I think he is in Mongolia now: http://www.mongoliagrowthgroup.com/boardofdirectors.html
He's got Bill Fleckenstein on his board! Pretty impressive. I remember Praetorian blew out his first fund but looks like he kept at it and is finding success now.
Wow, he actually moved there? Damn. I thought that was just the name of his fund. Ambitious kid I'll give him that.
60 employees and a listed firm--- I'll say kuppy's one of elite traders top success stories! surf http://mongoliagrowthgroup.com/MGG_feb.pdf Ps. even surpassing Baron.
A successful trade: 1) A signal. 20% 2) Trade Management. 20% 3) Your trading plan. 40% 4) Psychology. 20% Totals to 100%.
Surf, Let's say one day you develop your price drivers into a real strategy where you could possibly successfully manage a hedge fund for $ billions, or you could keep posting them here for free and someone else uses them to make money, while you stay in Sim. Would you keep giving away your signals for free, or would you manage a hedge fund.? Or say you automate your strategies making it even easier for you, do you just keep giving them away for free, or do you make some money? Even if you are want to give money to the poor, is it not better to make yourself a couple $ billion to setup a trust fund in your name? Or once you make a few $ billion, would it not be better to teach people to fish like Jack H does, instead of once in awhile positing a signal here on ET?
