I agree, but I've thought from the start that Elway put Tebow in a position of failure fulling expecting him to go 1-7 and to show the fans why he was going to go out and draft another QB. That's another aspect to this story that has received very little fanfare. It's almost a movie script in all of the detailed nuances of how this thing has evolved. They figured it was a lost season after the start and the community fever for Tebow almost forced them into this position. Realistically, they have a huge dilemma on their hands since I'm certain Elway is still probably thinking a prototype QB, but how in the world could they not give Tebow another full season after what he's done thus far.
Yeah that was a real dick thing to thing to do give away your only legitimate receiver likely to save money for next years draft to go after a new quarterback. I agree this Elway back story is interesting. Something tells me that Elway probably liked being the big swinging dick in that town and now Tebow is getting more attention in his first year then Elway got in 15.
Elway sure gets the camera coverage as he moves from the box to the sidelines on a close game. Pressure? Absolutely! And yes, Tebow has EARNED another season imo after this one! Zero question! I've gotta laugh at myself, but I used to CRUSH quarterbacks in High School as a DE, but now realize that nutrition, training, etc., has improved, and made what I did then, look like normal stuff now. Tebow flips industrial truck tires, and is a QB! If we were able to throw his heart and soul into Drew Brees, and Rodgers before a game, we'd need to make sure Vegas had the cash to cover our bets!
Tebow has more heart than Elway ever met. We'll see what happens. Btw, you never did tell me if you're willing to ride to the shooting range (after YOU pay for the pizza), with a half-Italian, in a Cadillac soon. Yes, I'm a former Police Officer, and former Marine Corps Mustang. You're safe beyond the Italian jokes. Lol! I think I can teach you some things. Maybe you can make be a trade, and teach me something? I'm willing to learn from you younger guys born in 1974.
Yeah, yeah you'll get your pizza. We'll see about the shooting range. I don't want to end up on a Dateline special.
Lol! I'll take a deep dish sausage pizza w/extra sauce. And the shooting range can wait if you're worried Diane Sawyer (sp?) will be doing a show about you.

Its still a little bit early to tell, i would imagine they will want to see him through 4-5 games of next season, and see how much better he is able to get if he really works hard on his passing through out the offseason. Plus it keeps the pressure on him to work hard during the offsseason if he doesnt have a huge contract/commitment from the team. Not that i think he needs the extra motivation to work hard.
No but he is the reason they won the last game. Befor everyone has their come to Jesus moments, let's see how Tebow does consistently against teams like NE, Pittsburg and the other powerhouses. He is doing good now, but a few games and even a couple of good years doesn't make a great quarterback. In five years we'll be able to judge how good he is. Unless he starts performing like Aaron Rodgers then we can jump on the Tebow is great band wagon early.
