Unrestricted free agent.... I think that means he can choose any car in the isle... The Donald from Celebrity Apprentice will be calling. Also a nice offer from Omaha Beef, 75$ per game.... http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/05...er-game-offer-from-indoor-leagues-omaha-beef/
Looks like Tebow supporters are his worst enemy. Teams don't want to deal with the fans that follow him. He might be able to have a decent backup career somewhere and maybe even get another starting opportunity someday if his fans could chill.
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...e-tim-tebow-2013-patriots-over-143729094.html " New England Patriots signed quarterback Tim Tebow to a two-year contract last week worth $1.385million that included zero guaranteed money. As noted by Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, the New York Jets, Tebow's former team, will spend more in cash and salary cap dollars for the former backup quarterback/personal punt protector than the Patriots will spend over the next two seasons combined. Here's the breakdown: When the Jets acquired Tebow from the Denver Broncos on March 23, 2012, they agreed to repay the Broncos for a portion of a $6,277,500 salary advance that Tebow had received from Denver in 2011, an amount totaling $2,531,875. The Jets paid $1 million in 2012 and will pay $1,531,875 back over the course of the 17-week 2013 regular season after failing to trade the quarterback's contract to another club this offseason. When they released Tebow on April 30, the Jets basically ate the $1,531,875 this season. There are no guarantees that Tebow makes and stays on the Patriots' 53-man roster this season, but if he does, he will earn the league minimum base salary of $630,000. When you add in the $525 in workout bonuses Tebow earned from the Patriots for participating in last week's three-day minicamp, the Jets will be spending at least $901,350 more in cash and cap space on Tebow this season than the Patriots will spend on the former Heisman Trophy winner. Tebow currently has a $755,000 cap charge in 2014 ($730,000 base salary plus a $25,000 workout bonus), so overall, the Jets will spend just around $140,000 more on him this season than the Patriots are currently scheduled to spend on Tebow over the next two seasons."
Looks like Tebow's chances of being on the roster come game day has increased significantly: Hernandez taken into custody - unknown charges http://www.cnn.com/2013/06/26/justice/nfl-hernandez/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
Ill never understand why these morons who get paid millions of dollars to play a game cant seem to leave their gang banger lifestyle behind them.
funny you say that, since before he got drafted i thought tebow could be a good TE or even hb/fb as a pro. He definitely isn't pro QB material but he has the physical attributes and skill to play pro football.. shit he could probably even play linebacker. he just needs to get over the fact that he can't play q in the NFL.
If Belichick can teach him the position, then having a having a TE on the field who can throw (albeit, not like Brady, but still) is a problem I'd like to have if I were coach, media circus be damned.
So he still can't throw... http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...tebow-new-england-patriots-preseason/2637921/ "The supposedly new, improved Tim Tebow showed the same shaky passing mechanics and accuracy late in the first half of Friday night's New England Patriots preseason debut that caused the New York Jets to release the ultra-popular Heisman Trophy winner after drafting Geno Smith in April. The third-string hopeful stepped in after backup Ryan Mallett got rocked by Philadelphia Eagles defensive ends Vinny Curry and Damion Square with 1:22 left in the second quarter with the Patriots leading, 24-14. And Tebow proceeded to play like, well, Tebow vintage 2012 during the former Denver Broncos 2011 phenom's failed one-year experiment with the Jets. Tebow threw well short of his intended receiver on his first play, then, followed that up with a second straight incompletion. On third down, he never got the ball out as he was dropped for a sack, forcing a punt. By the end of the night, Tebow was 4 of 12 for 55 yards, showing no signs of developing further as a rhythm and timing pocket passer."
From Reddit: "Tebow leaves Patriots with an undefeated record. Patriots with Tebow playing 3-0. Patriots with only Brady and Mallet playing 0-1. All he does is win." http://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1lgo95/twitter_adamschefter_patriots_releases_tim_tebow/
