http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...test-asked-overtime-rules-125127131--nfl.html This is absurd. How the hell can professional football players not know there are ties in the NFL? Really? We usually have one every 5 years or so. Hell I knew this when I was 7 years old and watched my first football game that ended in a tie. What the hell man.
Mav, wanna put 20 bucks on the game? Offer expires at kickoff. No fair saying yes if the Bears are up by 10 in the 4th.
Watching Tebow and the Jets. The commentator just said: "The play was doomed right from the start." But let's give it a little time... OK, Sanchez is back and immediately thrown an interception....
"New York Jets to start Greg McElroy over Tim Tebow vs. Chargers on Sunday" http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...me-greg-mcelroy-starting-quarterback/1777883/ So Sanchez got benched after 50 turnovers in 2 years, but Tim is still not good enough for the Jets.... "The New York Jets will make the move to a quarterback who wasn't even in uniform Monday night. The team announced Tuesday afternoon Mark Sanchez is out and Greg McElroy is in, thus making the futures of Sanchez and Tim Tebow awfully murky. ... Meanwhile, a brief Tebow experiment in Tennessee was a complete disaster. The No. 2 quarterback to Sanchez for most of this season hectically scrambled around the field and threw to the sideline during the one series that was all his. McElroy was 5-for-7 for 29 yards and threw the game-winning touchdown against the Cardinals after Sanchez threw three interceptions that day." ---------------- The story is that Ryan never wanted Tebow in the first place but the owner got him for them. Tebow has a bonus in his contract if he starts as a QB, so they avoid him. Meanwhile Sanzchez has a guaranteed 10+ million for the next year, thus the Jets cap limit and their QB position are both fucked... Fun stats: " Tim Tebow threw one incomplete pass and ended tonight with a higher passer rating than Mark Sanchez. (Tebow 39.6, Sanchez 32.6.)"
One of these days I have to figure out how they calculate these ratings. Hows the hell can one get awarded 39 rating pts for throwing an incomplete pass?
So this is how the regular season ended for the rookie QBs: "Andrew Luck breaks the rookie passing yards record, RGIII breaks the rookie rushing yards record, and Russell Wilson ties the rookie passing TD's record..." Now I hope Tebow goes to Jacksonville, and actually gets a real chance. If nothing else, he is entertaining to watch.... Here are the money matters, one reason why he wasn't allowed to start too often: http://www.jetnation.com/2012/03/25/tim-tebows-contract-details/
You know what I think that tells you? It shows you the extreme wear and tear these guys take after years in the NFL. Rookies are fresh. Sure they played in college but you never take the pounding in college you take in the NFL. Injuries change everything. Look at Jay Cutler. He is probably done. The guy has had 3 or 4 concussions now. You just don't recover from that. I gotta say it's amazing to see Adrian Peterson do what he did this year as old as he is. Just amazing to watch. In other news, half the coaches in the NFL got fired. I don't think that has ever happened before. And who keeps his job? Rex Ryan. Unf*cking real.
"For Real? Rex Ryan Sports Tattoo Of Woman Wearing Only Sanchez Jersey" http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/01...-tattoo-of-woman-wearing-only-sanchez-jersey/ We are talking about Rex Ryan, but I still don't think it's real.
The reason I quoted their achievements was to compare it to Tebow's. But let's forget him for a while. About the Ryan tattoo: I actually don't find it so creepy or strange. I would be more concerned if it was a Tom Brady jersey. But the wife isn't that young so let's put a jersey on her figure and obviously he had to pick one from his own team. Also we don't know how old the tattoo is, maybe it got made when Sanchez was a fairly decent QB....
