I'm hoping to start dicking around with some backtesting but am fairly useless/rusty w/conventional languages. Is Matlab feasible w/IB's and/or Robinhood's APIs? I'm currently w/IB and rather content. Any reading recommendations? Thanks.
matlab website has a lot of pages on trading applications...I guess the useless book by E.Chan mentions matlab too. can find the matlab trading toolbox documentaion by google https://nl.mathworks.com/help/trading/
mr money Is matlab easier than python? might be worth a quick look at the 20-50 most freq used python dealybops. Y'know, 30 minute perusal of the most used commands from the list. You conversant in matlab? Not too shabby.
I think Matlab has prebuilt library for IB. If you have access to matlab then it’s better than python hands down. Most people use python because it’s free.
