Wow! That was a close call !!!!! I am glad that you are okay and enjoyed your stay in Hong Kong. When you were in Lamma Island, did you walk over the hill to the beach. I remember it was very scenic with the exception of the power plant on the right hand side. --po
Shanghai changed a lot! Tons of people are there for Expo. I almost passed out at the Expo and decided not to go there anymore. The next day I was sick because of the food poison and being caught on the rain at the Expo... I spent whole day sleeping and went clubbing at night... I was so amazed by how they built the Expo.It was spectacular and futuristic! But I couldn't go in to the Japan, Germany, Saudi Arabia pavillions. The ones I plan on to see. They require more than 5 hours waiting! The club I used to go to changed a lot too-park 97, Dont like the music any more. Crowd was bit odd... The rest of the trip was just sighseeing at Xin Tian Di, Tianzi Fang, Bund and tried some restaurants. It was a short stay in Shanghai... Wasn't a best time to stay in Shanghai. Too many people anyway.
Matcha: 1. Welcome back! I presume that you had a great time in Hong Kong and Shanghai! 2. Did you look at today's market internals? $TRIN = 0.2-0.3 most of the day Advancers to Decliners Ratio - 6 to 1 Tell me again WHY you want to do a short trade???? Sorry... see this as a "tough love". Need to drive the point across.
Yeah. Those mantis shrimp have very little meat inside. I am not that fond of them. What did you expect? Come out from the car and take you to "yum cha"? You are lucky he didn't cuss out at you loud! Welcome to the reality of Hong Kong. The non-touristy side.
I knew you were going to ask! I was aware of the intervals, the large time frame reads bullish. Smaller time frame reads bearish. So, It was a counter-scalp trade. Expected it hit the next support level right away after it broke down from the base. But it didn't happen right away, so I got out quickly for a very small loss.
I have thought about visiting Shanghai this year to catch the Expo. But after seeing footages on TV news before the opening, and saw the big waves of people and lines... I had changed my mind.
On a day like this... (Dow +200 to almost 300, bullish from the get go)... Forget about any idea to short. Just FORGET IT. The right mindset should be trying to look for a "bearish" moment to long. Shorts are not going anywhere. Tomorrow too. If there is a moment near the opening where Dow -50... that's a good point to get long. Typically.
