Similar situation for me today. Took 3 trades, all scratched out for a net of +0.25 pts!

Where do you get your methodology from for trading and setups. I like the 5 minute chart with 20 ema too and being discretionary. Wondering if you have heard of Al Brooks at Brookspriceaction.com since you trade similarly to the way he does.

YES. I am using his method and building my own rule around the setup in each market context. but all the concepts are based on his book.

Not much to say. Typical day that shows my weakness. But great day to discover some new subtleties about PA that I got work on.

    -0.5pt

  7. Hi Matcha,

Today was a day of learning for me also. Took 4 trades, b/e at +0.25 pts. Lots of work needs to be done on the exits.

Best of trading to you tomorrow!

Matcha, I glanced at the ES chart a couple times today and figured any of you who hadn't chewed your leg off by the end of the day should be considered victorious :p

I guess Goldman Sachs forgot to release the memo stating that ES would trade WITHIN the confines of a 6 handle opening range.

You showed no weakness whatsoever

  9. Hi ND,

HaHa! Indeed today was a very narrow range day during the RTH. It was a bit of a struggle for me. I used to do a lot worse in days like this. I hope GS will send me a private memo next time so I will take the day off! :) :)

I am with you that Matcha did not show any weakness at all. She played defense very well in today's trading!

SOH almost the whole day again. Light volume, narrow range. Not too much happening before long weekend in the market.
