When was the last time hospitals, all over the world, have been overwhelmed by regular flu patients. People need to stop pretending to be experts. People who choose to consider themselves experts, with no basis in reality, should stop posting about their "expertise." They are adversely influencing dummies. And in this case, those dummies are perpetuating the spread, adversely affecting the rest of us.
The whole 6 feet social distancing thing is so stupid it is mind-blowing. It is just crazy that there are so many idiots in the world. Close down everything except for Walmart and grocery stores. So fucking stupid. The 6-foot social distancing rule probably came from a bet. Someone probably said that people are so fucking stupid that I am going to make up a rule that completely defies all logic and reason and I bet the screaming dumbasses will believe it. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/23/mit...ndoors-at-6-feet-or-60-feet-in-new-study.html MIT researchers say you’re no safer from Covid indoors at 6 feet or 60 feet in new study challenging social distancing policies “We argue there really isn’t much of a benefit to the 6-foot rule, especially when people are wearing masks,” Bazant said in an interview. “It really has no physical basis because the air a person is breathing while wearing a mask tends to rise and comes down elsewhere in the room so you’re more exposed to the average background than you are to a person at a distance.”
The 6-foot social-distancing rule is based on nearly 80-year-old science. Scientists at MIT and Oxford have created a traffic-light system to use instead. https://www.businessinsider.com/6-foot-distancing-rule-is-outdated-oxford-mit-new-system-2020-8?op=1
lets take a look... present the data... showing outdoor spread as opposed to indoor spread or someone having covid they could have gotten somewhere else. you don't think they should have some contact tracing proving this after millions of cases?
Nice article... but the assumption the MIT people are making is that there is aerosol transmission indoors. The CDC says the vast majority of transmission is through droplets within 6 feet. If that is wrong... produce the data and the studies... Accepting expert" opinions on something that can be studied is silly without the data. Let them produce the data so we can all assess their opinion.
