We have cases of outdoor transmission here in Calgary.

People breathe outdoors, why wouldn't the virus be transmissible there, too?

    link? to actual proof?
    or just some more fear.

I just tried to track this down on google... and it hearsay...
I did not see any actual documented cases..
although I am not ruling it out..
as they said the variants and the cold make it possible.

I just want to see the proof.
was it contact traced? can they rule out that it spread indoors?

What would proof look like, to you? Research paper? Field experiments?

The risk of catching COVID outdoors is MINISCULE.
You probably have a greater chance of slipping in the shower and dying than you do of catching covid outdoors and dying.

You produce evidence of documented spread... then anyone reading it can assess the quality of the evidence.

Yup. There are peer reviewed studies that show outdoor spread is EXTREMELY low when compared to indoor spread.

So it's non-zero, and you found proof of that on the internet. Would you mind sharing this with jem?

I have provided numerous studies showing that indoor spread is 10x to 20x more common than outdoor spread. However there are also numerous studies and examples of outdoor spread in crowds at beaches, concerts, protests and other outdoor events with no social distancing & limited mask use.

Bottom line: When you can socially distance outdoors then don't use a mask. Most states have never asked residents to wear masks outdoors when they can socially distance -- only when they are in a crowd outdoors with limited social distancing.

According to GWB - when will this masking end? Are you going to wear masks for the rest of your life when you can’t socially distance outdoors?
