Just googled him,and it's definitely his younger Brother.. Yeah, ild say Jake made the right move following his heart
Read it a number of years ago. The link has been posted a few times in the past. For all his intelligence and accomplishments, he's something of a head case whose ego got the best of him, as you noted.
Appears he got off to a slow start, but certainly had some really great years, followed by some really not so great years..
I remember following him for a brief while years ago. But I got put off by the 'bot' trading stuff. There used to be an interesting grifter I would listen to in pure cringe. Can't remember his name, but it sounded like Osama Bin Laden or something (no joke). He sold many 'tutorial courses' on options for inome... and seemed every podcast he'd have a new guest on, which would be some new recruit who had signed up maybe 3-months ago max, and therefore had proven track-records on all the riches lol. I really should dig up into who that guy was.
And so, after all this time, I started the book this weekend. Even though I don't have the time for it... I'm under 70 pages into it now. Right at the part where Martin got 'let go' from his analyst firm, and other bets of his went bad. He had to line up to collect unemployment. I haven't really learned anything so far.... hoping it gets better from here.
Wow... that's interesting. I've read about Niederhoffer a bit after hearing of him on ET, but I've never seen this mentioned.
