He used rodney king to defend himself when he was being battered on this thread. Rodney said that smurf had a gold stop @ $1000, and was to be commended for putting a stop in on this "trade" ! I wish he tried horses. BTW--I will have 10/3 free to play that cool Belmont card. Let's see if we can get lightning to strike twice! This time, I will play both sides of the exacta evenly.
Maybe I should feel honored to be confused with a longtime contributer like Surf.. but.. you don't need to be Frederick Mosteller to do the Bayesian analysis to distinguish between my text and Surf's. And of course, if I were a Surf-alias, I'd have been banned by the mods along with Surf. Unless you're not too brite, this should be obvious. Having said that - I do indeed like Surf, and enjoy our lunchtime get-togethers in the city now and again. And, unlike many on E'trader, he uses his real name, refrains from juvenalia such as spewing four-letter words, and is a gracious and generous-spirited host in person.

It's now a sociologic rather than scientific question. For the reasons I adduced before, it's obvious I'm not Surf. Those who insist otherwise must have a <i>need</i> to believe as such. 'If we say it enough times, it will become true.' Nothing I can say or do to address that mindset.
I had a look at a few of your early posts and I may be mistaken about your being surf. Generally speaking, your spelling errors are different and your vocabulary and sentence structure, not to mention your familiarity with options and apparent breadth of knowledge, suggests that you and surf are not the same person. Even so, your vacuous defense of surf suggests something other than arm's length objectivity. Unholy alliance comes to mind. Do you sometimes let surf use your user name to flatter himself? You also defend VN. Hmm...how do you feel about trend following? That may provide a clue.
