  1. Yep. Also, where's surf's post admitting he was wrong about gold? His gold proclamation and trade lost 25%. That's a huge loss if it was a real trade.

Most pathetic is him lying about his infamous C2 account and then blaming Pekelo.

  2. Inflation is the general rise of products, services and wages.
It is a SYMPTOM or EFFECT, not a CAUSE.
    A couple of points:
    1) Inflation continues when wages increase to accomodate higher prices.
    THAT IS NOT HAPPENING.
    2) Inflation rewards debtors who pay off current debts in currency that gets cheaper over the term of the loan.
THAT IS NOT HAPPENING - lending standard changes make getting even a home refi nearly impossible today. Thus, few benefit from inflation in that scenario.

  3. Of course not, and that is due to all of the speculation driving the price of gold up. Recent history indicates a similar situation occurred with CROX. It's price was driven far above any intrinsic value of that entity. It was $75/share...now $6 and change.

  4. I don't understand where all the disbelieve comes from regarding the recent run up in gold.

Did people really believe gold would not again try and retest at least the 1000$ mark over the next few months/years?

  5. i have no need to be right on every call. im making speculative calls based on the information available at the time--often data that paints a contraian view in this case.

Not asking you to be Kreskin......how about at least bettering Zippy Chippy's record.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zippy_Chippy

His 100th loss came on Friday September 10, 2004 in the Northampton Fair at the Three County Fairgrounds. He went off at odds of 7-2 making him the second betting choice.[1] A host of fans were there that day to cheer him at the start and to take his picture. Said his jockey, "It would be nice if people took photos at the end of the race too." Zippy came in last.

In December 2004, he retired to become an outrider pony at his hometown track, Finger Lakes racetrack in Farmington, New York, where he'd also been banned from racing on September 8, 1998 after failing to leave the gate with the rest of the field for the third consecutive time. As an outrider pony, he will escort horses in the post parade and lead them to the gate.

Hollywood once called. But to date, there's been no movie. In 2000, People magazine included him on its list of that year's most interesting personalities. Fans write him. An English ad campaign used his name and image to convince kids to stay in school.

"Say you have three children," Felix said, "One is a lawyer, doing well. The other a doctor, very, very successful. But the third one, not so smart, so he's working at McDonald's. What do you do? Ignore him? Course not. He's the one who needs your help. That's Zippy."

Zippy Chippy's lifetime record is: 100 starts = 0-8-12. He actually earned a surprising $30,834

You and good ol Zippy should have a match race. Someone's gotta win.....I think.

Rowshan is gonna love this :)
